Hey everyone, first post but long time lurker. Like most, this forum convinced me to plunge into the LSUS MBA program, so thank you all for the helpful posts.

I hate to contribute my first post with a question, BUT...

Just finished MADM 701 with McGlaughlin, everyone’s feedback was spot on, so far so good.

The feedback on ISDS 705 (Lind) has been underwhelming regarding course work and difficulty; however, I just looked at the syllabus and the group project, like a few have posted, looks to be new and by all means... horrific.

Can anyone confirm? I don’t want to violate the honor code and spell out the specific concerns, but at first glance this looks to have been setup for a brick/mortar class and now transposed into the online curriculum? Can anyone confirm if this group project is an a** pain or lighter than it appears? I start next week and am considering dropping as a project like this does not seem conducive to present schedule.

Thanks!

AlphaBravo1979, I dropped ISDS 705 for this session and went with ACCT 701 instead. This is my first session in the program and I didn't want to start off with that seemingly intense course load. The 35 page group project guide was enough to make me think twice about taking that course. From what I've read, other professors offer the course with a much more manageable load, so I will be taking it in a different session (hopefully with Gibbs).

Good luck!

I'll be starting the program in the upcoming AP2 session. I've registered for ISDS 705 with Lind and FIN 701 with Kendall. Couldn't find much info on either professor. Any thoughts?

Going through the application process for this program. Hoping to start during the upcoming March session. Just curious about the courses. Which courses are heavy in group work? Would anyone recommend taking certain courses early in the program? As to acquire a specific helpful skillset? Any elective courses that are NOT recommended? Thanks for any feedback!
