John King is his dad and the head football coach at Longview. His dad grew up in north Louisiana and coached at Ouachita before leaving with Pat Collins to be the OC at Longview. So, he still has family in Louisiana....

I hear this all the time about a QB going up against the best defense everyday in practice. No he doesn't!! He goes up against the 3's and 4's. There is not one team that practices 1's vs 1's every day in practice....

It can be used for 2 different types of plays...the QB read option and RPO. The QB has one read on different types of plays. Sometimes he is reading a DE or OLB that is unblocked. In this case, the defensive player has to either commit to the RB or the QB. Another situation, the QB could read ML...
