re: #backtheblue TOTD: Lafayette Sheriff launches birds-eye view surveillance center

I can't speak for all areas of the state, but Lafayette area in particular has been inundated with privately owned cameras being installed on seemingly every road in Lafayette Parish. Most are owned by a wealthy business owner/private citizen names Brooks Bernard. The entrance to his compound across from Pepin's at the corner of W. Broussard Rd. and Ridge Rd. in Lafayette looks like the entrance to Fort Knox.
From what I gather, he (his company "Crime Fighters of Louisiana") started putting all these cameras up on his own dime, and allowed law enforcement access to his footage for free. Reminds me of a drug dealer giving away the first hit for free, knowing once they're addicted to your product they have no choice but to come back to you for more.

Thanks. I occasionally get random numbers showing up leaving no voicemail, and when I attempt to call them back, never get through to anyone. I suppose it could be from spoofing, in which case, the number really doesn't matter :dunno:
Best FREE reverse phone number search

Searching for the best free website or service that I can simply input the unknown callers phone number and get accurate info regarding what person/business who called.

Harder question: if you answered yes, should that also apply if the person pointing a gun at you is a cop?
I say yes to both
This may be the most ridiculous attempts at justification for shooting cops I have ever heard. What a wild thing to even say. The number one thing you should do when facing the barrel of a gun being held by the police is COMPLY WITH THEIR DIRECT ORDERS, not open fire on them.

What are some things to cook that are not super labor intensive but still provide good options to eat while you walk. (Festival is mid November)
