re: Who here played BREC pee-wee football in the 1970's?
Posted by Gawnfishin on 1/9/22 at 5:46 pm to Basura Blanco
I played on several teams in the BREC league. The Central Bobcats, Bellingrath Eagles and I got “recruited” to play for the Riveroaks Bengals in 1979. Had an absolute blast in those years. My younger cousin played and was best friends with Bucky ba I in those days and in high school.
Knew Mr. Johnny Garafola well as his wife babysat my kids for years. It was tragic what happened to their son. They are great people

Gabby was always a favorite. As was Amanda Coetzer(sp). I love short, athletic girls

and getting your barefoot pinched on the center part if that was all that was left. Seems that little washer on the outside would always find a way to get you

And trick or treating for hours. No time limit
Also, I grew up off of Frenchtown Rd. Had unlimited acres of woods to explore and get into mischief. Never caused destruction to other peoples property, well, not intentionally. We hunted and fished wherever we could.
I tell my son I feel sorry for him that he didn't grow up in my era.

Lost my mom to Parkinsons last year after a long battle. This is one of Gods cruel little jokes. My mom went from a sweet, southern lady to a mean, cursing, hateful b@&ch. I feel for Coach of course. But his family will need lots of prayers and support as it takes it toll on those that have to live with this disease daily

I have a square body chevy and I do drive it everyday. They are popular as hell. I get offers on it weekly. Short wheel base, LS1 swap. Purrs like a kitten!

Not saying the Tenn coach intimidated the ump, but there were some late strike calls. Kinda like he was waiting for some sort of “outside” reaction
re: Primerica: full time income
Posted by Gawnfishin on 5/1/21 at 10:24 am to MrFahrenheitDontLie
Primerica started out as A.L. Williams. Buy term and invest the difference was their motto back in the 90’s. I was lured in back then and gave it a try. Bill Whittle was a great speaker and very charismatic and said what I wanted to hear at that time of my life. Primerica was just coming onto the scene. They rented the Superdome for 5 days for their convention so that has to be legit, rig the? Problem was, I became a pariah to friends and family as I tried to sell the “dream”. How could anyone with half a brain not get this?
I think the original idea was right but you HAVE to recruit

re: Is there a kid’s sport which parents haven't ruined?
Posted by Gawnfishin on 3/24/21 at 11:45 am to LSUfan20005
Any parent that forces their kid to throw up is insane no matter what sport. High school wrestling has hydration test that TRY to keep kids from cutting too much weight. It still happens, and that is what gave the sport a bad name.

Kiss, I think it was around '77. My mom and my neighbor's mom took about 6 of us 12 year olds to the concert. Some guy passed my mom a joint and she politely said no thank you. She was a true southern lady

My 98 Z71 has 256k miles on it. No rust. The as doesn't blow too cold and the heater doesn't work but I hate to get rid of it. My pop's is using it now as a yard truck

Agreed. I was going to do an LS swap out in my 98 Z71. Decided to go another route. Found mine in NC. Flew up there and me and a buddy drove it back!

He wasn't Cajun. He was actually a friend of my dad's and after my dad passed my maw maw would take me to visit him off oh Pete's Hwy. He was married to Mama Sarah at that time. I really liked him.
My mom is on the cover of one of his comedy albums. He started as a safety man and telling stories at safety meetings
