Do you think he would have developed into the same level of QB had he spent those first years at LSU and not OSU.

I'm a Buckeye but I mean this seriously and am not trying to provoke an argument. I don't know the answer but it seems like LSU has really struggle to find and develop QB talent in recent years.
He was far from overlooked at Ohio State. He just wasn't good enough to start for the Buckeyes when he left and still might not be today.

Different competition levels at his position and different offensive system.
Wonder if Joe's gonna be doing some dirty dancing in the LSU backfield.

We have fabulous walleye from Lake Erie here in the Buckeye state but for sure it was a good move to take Joe for Seafood in BR assuming he's a seafood fan.

We have Texas de Brasil in Columbus and he's probably been there before.

What I was most impressed about with his visit was that he just wanted to talk football -- no red carpet. He probably didn't care much about the restaurants.
It ain't gonna be a pretty name if he chooses UNC over LSU.

Local radio in Ohio suggests he is at UNC because of the academics. Understanding Burrow's academic talents and professional ambitions, it makes sense that he would decide based on the caliber of the university rather than purely on the strength of the football program.
The coach wouldn't need to guarantee him the starting job. Burrow wouldn't expect that or want it. He could probably just say based on film and stats he'll be given a full shot at it and basically it's his job to lose.

He'll go to LSU only if he is convinced he'll win the starting job.

If Burrow were starting, the Buckeyes would still be a top five team in the pre-season rankings and predicted to win the conference. Many will pick them to be in the payoffs.

Yes, preseason rankings don't mean much but Burrow has that level of talent and LSU will be much better with him than without him.

It was never about beating out JT Barrett. Meyer is loyal to a fault and there was no way that was going to happen.

The competition was with Haskins. Burrow got hurt (a minor fracture) which allowed Haskins to take the back up role and gain experience including a second half performance that helped beat Michigan.

Burrow has a much better arm than Barrett. He's very smart and works hard. That's why so many in Columbus love the guy.

I'm an OSU grad and a huge Buckeye fan. I would never have imagined rooting for an SEC team, but I'm also going to be a huge LSU fan if Burrow makes the decision to join the Tigers as will half of the state of Ohio. For sure, TV ratings will jump if he starts for LSU as we'll all be watching up North.
