What gets me is this attitude that, since I'm a native of Louisiana, I'm automagically supposed to root for LSU, get an LSU hat, wear purple and gold.

NO, I DON'T.

I'm perfectly happy when the Flagship does well nationally. Skip Bertman will always be spoken of kindly by me since he — unique among Flagship coaches — always played state schools home-and-away. I always root for the Flagship to rip Audubon Prep School Algae whenever those programs play.

However, I will always root for UL. I will always act like we're bigger than we are (gotta fake it till you make it, right?). Red and white will always look better to me than purple and gold. And I will always talk smack with Flagship fans wearing their colors, right before I buy them a round.

And no, I fricking hate Alabama. I hope you destroy those cocksuckers every time you play them.

But remember this: you can call us ULL, Ooh Laa Laa, ULOL, USL all you want. But I fricking love that we get under everybody's skin, yours especially.
