re: What's the word on Raleigh?

Any of Ashley Christensen's restaurants are amazing:
-Beasley's Chicken and Honey is a casual and reasonably priced.
-Death and Taxes is high end, but worth it.
She has a few others, but I haven't visited those.
-The Angus Barn is an experience that everyone in Raleigh needs to have at least once. The food is just okay, but the service and ambiance are second to none. Do the wine cellar tour--its free--just ask your server.

Umstead Park near the airport is a nice urban park with hiking trails.

Both downtown Raleigh and downtown Durham have great night life. They are both very safe and very clean. I haven't been to downtown Chapel Hill, but I hear the bars there are very cool as well, but a more college aged crowd.

Two hours from the Wilmington / Carolina Beach area. Its an easy trip down I-40 and worth it.

Overall, it is an amazing place to live.

A few things to update:
1. NOT a lesbian. Male / Females can enter into domestic partner agreements as well. Many companies offer benefits to committed couples who do not want to get married. Originally, it was designed for gay couples.
2. Although there is a possibility the brain tumor is not real, if it is not, she has done a HELL of a job faking it for two years. My guess is that its benign and therefore, not growing.
3. I struggled with letting her go because I did not want to put her on the street. Our relationship was really over almost a year ago. We've basically been roommates until I moved.
4. Her organized crime ties are not necessarily to mafia types, and I have not confirmed.
5. The poster that said she had BPD was on point. Diagnosed for sure, but I didn't realize how bad it was. She also is a self proclaimed sociopath.

Thanks again for all of the advice. Again, this was not a troll attempt. I've been reading this board for years and always laugh at some of the advice given. I expected much of this.

After another big fight this morning, I've taken steps today to rid her of my life.
Nope. No marriage. We entered into a domestic partnership agreement when we moved in together.
I can assure you this is not an attempt at trolling. All of what I said is true.
The vehicle is our second vehicle and is in both of our names. The house is in mine only.
I've talked to a number of people who say the same thing, kick her out, restraining order, cops, etc. but I honestly believe the threat is real, or the answer is simple. She genuinely has nothing to lose.
Thank you to those of you that offered the advice.

How would you handle? (Ex-GF) long...

First time poster, long time lurker.
Started dating a beautiful woman two years ago. Pretty quickly she told me she had a brain tumor that would eventually kill her. She quit her job after about 3 months of dating and I began to support her fully. Bought a house later that year, and she moved in, as I continued to support her.
Fast forward, as she has brought a number of guy "friends" into her life that she swears are "just friends," but we know what is really going on. It pushed us apart and created a resentment between us.
Fixing her became my priority, and I ended up leaving my job due to stress and poor work performance.
I ended up getting a better job halfway across the country. We grew apart, have separated, and now I want to sell the house, and move on with my life. She has threatened me, basically saying that she has nothing to lose, and if I put her on the streets, she will kill me. She is connected to some underground organized crime figures, so it is a threat I take seriously.
She also has a vehicle that is in my name. Her health insurance is through my employer.
She has requested 12 months in the house, me to continue to pay for her vehicle, maintain insurance on her, and give her an allowance for 12 months until she gets on her feet. Anything less, and I don't want to know the consequences.
I cannot afford to continue supporting her and to restart my life.

Looking for advice.
