Fishing is always good if you can find clean water and the wind is low. I know a lot of the water is private because it used to be land before it eroded but I think most people don't minds ya fishing on it as long as you're not there during duck season.

How did yall do this duck season in Big Branch? I hunt near Lafitte, but had difficulty late in the season due to limited water depth from all the North winds. I live in New Orleans and would like to try the refuge a couple of times next season with my kayak.
