Labas never does well as a reliever. He's a starting pitcher, and always plays well when he starts. He pitched six shut out innings his last start and they pulled him early. Some guys just don't pitch well in relief. They should have started him today if they were serious about seeing if he could handle SEC batters.

I totally agree. He had me won over the night against ULL. Bases loaded and he sits down the next three batters to get out of the jam. Hostile environment. Kid looked like he had ice in his veins. Never looked scared once. He has my vote to win a spot in the weekend rotation.

Missed the point I was trying to make. I think Hilliard did amazing, just didn't think you should go off the one inning to judge Labas as a starter. He was hit hard. I just think Labas deserves more then one inning to be judged fairly.
