I don't think the problem is that there is an SEC Championship. The problem is that there is an SEC Championship game in a system that has flaws on multiple levels.
A proper playoff system would alleviate some, but I think there needs to be more common sense when it comes to teams like Florida...

Does the winner have to receive the majority of votes, or just the largest plurality? Or do they vote their top three and they count down the list until a winner receives a majority?
