Technically it isn't legal to ride the creek since the landowner on each side owns half of the creek in the middle of the flowing water. I live there and we ride it all the time. As long as you don't litter and ride all the time during hunting season it will be fine. People started getting tickets because when the Comite shut down they had about 300 jeeps that came and roe and wrecked peoples personal land and littered everywhere. Since living in Jackson is so close to he Pitts in Zachary we go there a ton. In fact we are going this weekend on Saturday. Should be a good turnout there. Pitts has got a bunch of deep water holes a decent amount of great mud holes and access to her portion of the Comite River. Be careful on the Comite though. Also don't get on in Norwood unless you got permission to park some where then ride down the bridge. Get on in Jackson.
