You're missing a big point. He's playing the 1st half only against so called bad teams. He's playing 3-4 qtrs versus the contenders. The only other time he threw for 400 yards was Jones. Had to play all 4 quarters. EMCC trailed 28-14 in the 3rd qtr. His Lower numbers are versus so-called bad teams cause he's not playing full games.

I suspected this since Miss. State. And Orgeron's recent comments regarding Emsminger (pay raise) seems to support it. Canada seems to have been brought in to satisfy the need for a high profile hire. It sounds as if he's battling the interim "regime". O is lobbying for a pay raise, because Emsminger is still acting like an OC.
Rumor is starting to circulate that O is asking Alleva to buy Canada out.

I agree with the OP. Obviously the conference has been historically good. But its been declining. And the trend is worsening. I understand the expectation. The term caliber, in terms of SEC team performance, and reality are not adding up. Honestly, I thought it was all about National Championships. If not, then thats a problem too. We in particular, are a school which has been trending rapidly in the wrong direction. Yet, within our own bubbles, we abuse the term SEC Caliber. I say Bama is the only team that deserves the tag, SEC caliber.
