re: Watson: "We we worked on that Pick All Year" ... And it was perfectly legal
Posted by TdocTiger on 1/10/17 at 1:11 pm
What makes it legal is that he did not touch the DB who was covering the 2nd receiver. He contacted the DB covering him, legal within 5 yards, causing Brown to go around them....

At the time his he had only been a wide receiver coach. He had never been on offensive coordinator prior to becoming a head coach. ...

He most likely would have coach if his fist HC job would have been at ole miss 10 years ago....
Hiring wide receiver coach as head coach.
Posted by TdocTiger on 11/29/16 at 8:32 pm
From 2003-2006 Dabo Sweeney was assistant head coach/ receivers coach for Clemson. Also recruiting coordinator. 2007 he became interim head coach. He fired the offensive coordinator and called his on plays the rest of that year. Was hired as head coach following year. Position coach to head coach. ...
re: I know the schedule inequity is annoying

The problem is you are more likely to have injuries vs top teams in the SEC. So you play the likes of Ga vs Kent. Ga is more likely to beat a team up than Kentucky. This happened to us and SC this year....
re: Saban in last years game.

That's my point, no coach is perfect. I like the fact Miles stands up and admit he wish he had those calls back. No coach is attacked more than Miles. By the press and by their on fans. It is very sad in my opinion. Saban did the same thing last year!...

Ok guys, Saban did the same thing last year. He went for 50 yard field goals and missed several. Finally when he lost confidence in his kicker he tried a trick play which Reid intercepted. Fact is LSU kicker has had a terrible year. Les loss confidence in him and tried some things that did not work....

re: To all the Miles haters?

I don't think the play calling has been that bad this year. We have actually thrown the ball alot this year. The problem is we have lost 3 O linemen and the receivers have dropped over 25 balls. Agaist Florida alone they droped 5 passes that would have resulted in fist downs. This does not count OBJ...

Maybe crawfish, but I remember when he hired the Chief a lot of people were upset due to his repatation of playing soft on 3rd downs. LSU does play good teams. The have had tough schedules the past several years. Alabama has been Lucky and has not had to play the east powers the past several yea...

Miles would love to have their schedule! Also Miles hired The Chief and leaves him alone....
To all the Miles haters?

I read on the rant how Miles is an idiot . First I will say I don't agree with every thing miles does, but I don't think he is an idiot. LSU plays in the SEC, the toughest conference in America. He has won 80% of his games. Wow! Both Mac Brown and Bob Stoops would love to have his record. Both Texas...
re: Lunch with Les in-conference thread

All coaches have their fault. But it is hard to sustain a drive when you have receivers dropping the ball. I can recall 4 drops in the game and all would have been 1st downs. That adds 12 more plays at least. Simply put, our receivers need to step up. We will have problems running against SEC defens...

Sabans success is in his recruiting of the best players in America. He proved he he has problems without having the best players when he was in Miami. He had total control in Miami and failed. He would never go to Dallas or any NFL team because he can't always have the best players. He is a good coa...
re: Shea Dixon 5 position battles to watch for

Let's just say , maybe we the fans don't know all that went down with Lee and Jefferson. Let it go people. You will never know all that went down. Miles is a guy who keeps it all in house and out of the media for the most part. He is a proven winner and has a good chance of having LSU back in the SE...

Beating a team 3 times in a row
Posted by TdocTiger on 1/10/12 at 3:15 pm
2 months ago Miles was " the best coach in the country" . He had out coached Saban 2 games in a row. The majority on this board agreed. The problem is that when you beat a great team once , it is hard to reach the same emotional level where as the loser of game one has a revenge factor. That is why ...
Gump logic on D lines
Posted by TdocTiger on 12/15/11 at 1:53 pm
I live in Birmingham and had a hump tell me that Alabamas D line was a huge advantage because it only takes three Alabam lineman to do what 4 LSU do, I started lol and explained 3-4 vs 4-3 defense to him as he looked at me with a blank look on his face....
re: Beating Bama for the third time in a row

Sorry about that.
The way I look at it is, how great will it be when we defeat Bama for the third time in a row. Next year will be 4. LSU fans need to look at the opportunity we have. Living in Alabama, I can't think of a better outcome than that. Beaux Tigers!!...
