Relief Windows:
Best Customer Service compared to any window company!
* No deposit required
* They use their own professionally trained installers
* Offer the best energy efficient windows in the vinyl replacement series
* They do not use acrylic caulking... only use silicon
* Very quick turnaround compared to everyone else
* Transferable lifetime warranty is guaranteed the day you have the windows installed on glass breakage, seal failure, defects in vinyl components, and any operating part of the window
* Two measurements to ensure accuracy on measurements for each window opening before order
* No Complaints on BBB and several Online awards from BBB’s Manship Torch Award to Angie’s List Super Service Award
* Locally owned and operated, so will not get back-logged like a lot of corporate entities

love it when window salesman sits at your kitchen table, whips out their calculator or tablet... crunches numbers, writes down their number, customer makes a face... hmmms and hawwsss... sales guy asks, what's it gonna take... scratches out the number, writes a new number down roughly 10% ish lower... then wants to close that deal then...
That's definitely a salesman and not a consultant!

So you mean to tell me you know all those specifics about Windows from RW because your "friends" work there? I'm calling bull shite. I bet you like their commercial music too, don't you?
Not only do my buddies work for RW, but I used to work for Renewal By Andersen. So, yes! In my opinion, their jingle is pretty atrocious, and that's honestly the only negative thing I have to say about RW!

Don't forget what else they dropped...
...the ball on getting back with all the customers in a timely manner on all the screw-ups they make because of bad installation, one single measurement, and unqualified installers.
...customers' windows
...their price because you get what you pay for
AND...
...their pants from lowering the price to fit what they can offer

What does this even mean? 7700 is a useless number without a manufacturer. And LEEP glass? Maybe a Low-e typo? If so, what type of low-e? There's a wide range of performance when it comes to low-e. And double insulation properties? Maybe you mean a dual seal insulating unit? Explain further why this is advantageous over a single seal unit. I know why, but your customers should know why before you shite on a competitor. Double strength glass is by definition 1/8" thick (3.2mm). Any thicker and it's no longer double strength. Be honest with your potential customers. Don't rattle off industry jargon to make something sound fancier than it really is.
LEEP (Low Energy Emissitive Pyrolytic) Glass - Has a hard pyrolytic coating on the inside surface of the inner pane of glass. Makes for a .27 or lower U-Factor. It combines Northern and Southern Glass. The glass is rolled out of the machine in a molten state onto a bed of mercury. The molten glass is sprayed with the EP coating at this point. As the glass cools the EP coating turns into a hard shell fixed to the glass. The newly finished glass reflects shorter wave radiation with the LE and blocks the longer wave radiation with the EP. All this together makes the window more like a wall.
Double Insulation Properties - Vinyl frames are chambered with individualized pockets of airtight space to increase insulating values. They're doubled in comparison to the 5400 series, which is more comparable to the Window World window. Even then, the 5400 series is a step above WW's standard window.

This is all as fancy as it sounds. Hope this helps clarify what I meant!

You can also go to a local window company and ask who are their installers. Most of them are not just window flunkies. These guys are licensed contractors. Then you can probably buy a lot better quality vinyl window and have a few bucks left over. You got to remember with relief window and window word you have some marketing put into the price of their jobs. Window World and Relief are both out of BR. WW was the first mass marketer besides Sears and Relief came along to have a similar business motto.
Doing it yourself eliminates the lifetime transferable warranty offered by these companies and the potential of getting a contractor who doesn't have insurance liability coverage, which means you're footing the bill on any accidents/damages/injuries, etc.

Got some family friends who work at RW and they gave me the low-down for both WW and RW because two of them have worked for both. It irritates me when people try to compare apples to oranges.

I know I'm a few years late, but the reviews online for each company speaks for itself. However, we're not even comparing apples to apples when you're comparing these two companies. Relief Windows (RW) offers a 7700 series replacement window that has LEEP glass, double insulation properties, and much thicker double strength glass, whereas Window World (WW) does not. WW only uses acrylic caulking, which will crack, chip, and peel off within a year or two exposing your windows to leaks, condensation and energy efficiency issues. RW only uses silicon based caulking, which is meant to last several years without the cracking, chipping, or peeling. Most of the time it will take a month or longer before you'll have your windows installed by WW. The turnaround time is half the time of that and sometimes even sooner. The installers for RW are professionally trained and even paid double to do the job correctly the first time. WW uses sub-contractors who may not be properly trained to install windows, much less be licensed to do so. Several people have complained that WW’s transferable “lifetime” warranty is not active until after having the windows installed for two years, which they will not disclose upfront unless you ask them. RW’s transferable lifetime warranty is guaranteed the day you have the windows installed. Also, RW uses a Measure Tech to come back out after you receive your quote from the Consultant to re-measure the windows for a more accurate measurement to the window opening. WW only does one measurement, and you better pray to God they did it right the first time because if there are any errors in the measurement(s), good luck on re-scheduling them to come back out and fix the issue in a timely manner because they often get back-logged because of how cheap they offer their windows (there’s a reason they’re so cheap).
So, if you want to sacrifice all of the above mentioned aspects of your window installation project along with customer service and satisfaction you deserve with a guaranteed installation by a professionally trained crew (non-sub-contracted), by all means go with the cheaper company. But, in this case, you definitely get what you pay for!
Not to mention, Relief Windows is a very proud supporter of LSU Athletics!:geauxtigers:
