re: Plan to fix the Yankees.

As a die hard Yankees fan, there is no "fix" to the Yankees that does not involve an organizational shift in hitting philosophy.

They are still stuck in the three outcome mindset of hitting that was the craze in 2017. With the players they have, they are able to have success over 162 games but they can not win a single game or 4 out of 7 in multiple ways. If they arent hitting homers in bunches over a 3/5/7 game series then they're dead.

The Yankees dont believe in traditional baseball outcomes like Straw's 64mph exit velo single. They think these things are luck and will say "hey thats baseball."

This outdated approach is seen most in Volpe. At 5'9" 175 lbs he is being told to get off his "A swing" at every pitch regardless of count and that may get him 20-25 homers in the regular season (which is good power numbers from a SS) but when he fizzles out it results in the 0-13 with 11 K's he had in the ALDS.

It needs to start in the minors. There isnt a single position player other than Judge (but even he went to an outside hitting coach) that they have developed from thier farm system.

Hopefully a team like the Blue Jays or Brewers can win it this year and force them to change thier brand of baseball to something that can compete every single night.

Josh Jordan Staying?

At least he won’t be leaving for Duke
That's because you only remember the times when it works against us...when they hit it right at them its just another out and its forgettable
Our guys are doing the same thing….process oriented vs results oriented…all you can control is the exit velo and that ball was hit hard
Favored against ourselves is wild especially with the way we shot ourselves in the foot all game Sunday

CJJ has the pulse of this team

He’s finally figured this group out over the past several weeks and again CJJ was brilliant yesterday. He’s always impressed me with his intuition over analytics (Pearson being in the 4 spot) in the most important games.

I know it’s easy to scratch your head at some of his decisions in a game on a Sunday in early March but like he said last night after the game that “everything trains you for something.” You have to put/keep guys in certain scenarios to see how they perform in order to figure out which buttons to press when the lights are the brightest.

Tonight is why you’re a fan! One game season for a chance to host a Super at home. Let’s GEAUX!
Do yall remember that organ jingle that would play after a 3 up 3 down inning as LSU came off the field? What happened to that?

Freshman lefty against a lefty is a choice
They spent about 4 straight minutes in a 4 point game at the time talking about Caitlyn Clark and her "greatness"
Kentucky got the rebound on the one they overturned
At least from listening to too many CJJ press conferences this preseason it seems like Jake Brown would have the first crack at 1B if Jones isnt there

Smoked spatchcocked chicken
Green onion sausage
Rice dressing
Green peas in roux
For all the people assuming he threw the FSU game, he actually bet one himself to score and bet the over on his receiving yards. Imagine how he wouldve played if he didnt have money on himself

Have it your way
