Have to admit, season 3 is so much better than seasons 1-2. Or maybe, I’m just numb to how much Amazon messed up the original casting and first 3 books. Books 4-5 are my favorites.

Two lakes I fish in N.C. have healthy populations. Have seen adults and juveniles cavorting 30 feet over my boat, just an amazing sight.

Yeah, I know: yet another watch thread. My 15 year old Seiko Kinetic diver finally died. Costs more than it’s worth to change out the capacitors.
Recommendations for a diver watch, $500 max budget. Good with automatic or quartz, sapphire crystal face, stainless steel bracelet. Had my eye on a Tissot via Jomashop. Hamilton khaki automatic looked snazzy, but a touch out of budget.

Finally watched the move, have read Dune 20 times. Read entire series multiple times, even the abominations written by the son.
Did not like how Chani was portrayed in Part 2. Pouty and angry with Paul. She was the one that encouraged Paul to marry Irulan.
Stilgar went from strong character to a bumbling zealot.
Fantastic powerful visuals (would have even better at theater). But, couldn’t help feeling a little let down.
PS: Feyd was well done.

Native of Louisiana, moved to Raleigh (Holly springs) in 2014. All of the insights so far are accurate. 4 seasons, great golf, basketball is king, beaches and mountains close by. Great place to raise a family. Housing will only go up as pharma keeps building up plus expanding tech companies.
Phenomenal bass fishing, 3 top rated lakes within 40 minutes of each other. Yankees and Californians are moving in.

Challenge is trying to get the fish in the boat without embedding trebles from big crank bait into your hand. I have not mastered the technique of grabbing under the belly and hugging the bass.

Learned important lesson this afternoon. Went out to make a few casts at Shearon Harris just outside of Raleigh and left my net in the garage. Had one between 7-8 pounds at the boat and she broke off as I tried to lip her. Touched her tail before she swam off. Lost my favorite crank bait and just sat there sighing.
Oh well, next time the net will be in the boat. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
