I think this clip (3:29) from the halftime locker room of the A&M game is telling of Longstreet's engagement. I think as he matures, puts in the work, and stays engaged he'll be a good or great quarterback some day, but I see why he is currently #3. Even if he's disappointed at being #3, I'd like to see him attentive and ready to go.
