Briles + Stidham > Herman + any QB in the country. Just saying...
That's where we differ. I don't take the Findings of Fact at face value. The regents have done nothing to buy my trust. Most are either childish power-mongerers or gutless pushovers. Neither type belongs in a leadership role.
And you're wrong about both the Title IX and federal government sanctions. First, he did nothin to involve the government. Saying such is so inaccurate that it's laughable. Second, Baylor didn't have any real title IX structure in place until fall of 2014, long after the major issues. Employees, including Briles, did not even receive any Title IX training until September of 2015. How is Briles accountable for that?
I'm just telling y'all, the more that gradually comes to light from this, the cleaner Briles is going to look. We need to get in on this guy before anyone else.

And I'll take the 61 year old that completely rebuilt 2 programs over the guy that's had one good year at UoH with an unbelievable QB that he didn't recruit. Agree to disagree.
No, I'm saying that LSU should dig in to the situation (there's plenty of time), and if he comes up clean (which I guarantee you he will) then they should hire him and help him clear his name. He's the best available coach that needs help to mend his image. It's a mutually beneficial hire that gives us the best coach we can hire.

Take out all outside factors, consider this only from a football standpoint and tell me that Briles is not the best option. You can't do it. Now tell me exactly why he was fired. What did he specifically do wrong that lead to his termination? You can't tell me that, just like Baylor's board of regents can't give him a reason they fired him. As a Wacoan, I know first hand that Briles made Baylor a big-time program before the admin was ready for it. It got too big, too fast, and Baylor admin supported Briles like it was still 1997, in regards to everything from PR to Title IX. He did his best with each situation, with zero guidance from the school.
Baylor had a big-time coach at a small-time program. When faced with the media frenzy and "allegations" (which there is only going to end up being one conviction in all of this) Baylor's regents panicked and scapegoated Briles to save themselves.
Knowing this, why would LSU not bring Briles in after conducting their own investigation. If he comes up clean, which he will, then go to bat for him, while he wins you National Championships. He's the best offensive mind in the sport, and is still deeply connected to Jarrett Stidham and countless other top 2017 and 2018 recruits from the state of Texas. This just makes too much sense not to at least explore the option.
