Thanks guys. Dropping some knowledge on me. Some very good recommendations so far!
Local Recs for Foreigners
Posted by TM32 on 8/27/18 at 7:12 pm
Hey guys, the wife and I recently brought in a foreign exchange student into the house. But we’re trying to think of things to do with her that can be done over the weekends or a few days. We’re in the SWLA area but want things that can give her a good Louisiana experience and already are planning on NO, LSU game(s), and H-town. The wife and I also already had a trip planned to DC/NY and she’ll be able to come with us there and also to California since we’ll be going to visit my wife’s family there at some point. But any local recommendations? Certainly does not have to be exclusively Louisiana.
TIA

What’s other good ways to get in some additional fiber in the diet to go along with veggies? I’d like to bump up my intake
Awesome, man! So do you still do free meals with this as well? Or are you strictly only doing diet + re-feed?
Have you tried and had results with this newer form of PSMF?

Do you do 3 re-feed meals a week planned around those workouts?

Is it sustainable to run this for 4 weeks or so straight while lifting 4 days a week and doing cardio on days between? No
Gotcha. Not surprising. However, since I’m not super familiar with this diet yet, what would be recommended? 4-5 days then large re-feed meal then start back over? Something similar?
Also, one more dumb question. Is most of this weight loss from water weight or are you managing to burn legitimately large amounts of fat quickly?
Hey all, I’m interested in running this diet paired with some IF. But I have a couple of questions.
1.) I used the calculator and it gave me my recommended protein intake, but what should the calorie goal be. Strictly based off of 200 g/protein that comes out to only 800 cals. That seems way too low (obviously part of the point, however)?
2.) How many grams of fat and carbs are too high?

Low Bar vs High Bar Squat
Posted by TM32 on 4/23/18 at 10:38 am
Hey guys, I’d like your opinions on the low vs high bar squat. I’ve done a lot of reading and watched a good bit on YouTube regarding it, but it seems like there’s so many varying opinions that it hasn’t really cleared much up for me.
Traditionally I’ve always done the high bar. That’s what we learned in football and what I’ve carried over into most of my training through the years. But is one really any better than the other? And is one easier on the knees?

Flexibility Recommendations

Hey guys, I’m looking for some recs on a solid full body stretching/flexibility routine.
My biggest issues are my left hammy (easily fixed over time) and shoulder mobility. So anything that will really help loosen the shoulders is especially appreciated.

do you have a hose close or plan to add a sprinkler system?
I don’t plan to put in a system atm. Which leads to another noob question...how often would you recommend watering a bed? I’d imagine it would ultimately depend on what you planted, but I’m just trying to get all the help that I can get...I need it
Garden/Flower Beds
Posted by TM32 on 4/4/18 at 10:38 am
Hey fellas, I’m planning on starting some flower beds at our new house but I really don’t have a ton of experience and would love some advice on what kind of stuff I need to consider.
There are existing beds but the previous owners really didn’t maintain the inside or outside of the house all that well, so I’m planning on starting from scratch.
Any links or recommendations to websites or YouTube channels is greatly appreciated

Also, I’m assuming we’re talking about the app, correct? Not some other program?
Nvm, Pride basically answered that for me lol

Is it a feasible cardio workout if you’re also lifting every other day? Or should it be a primary exercise plan as opposed to primarily being used as cardio?
One more question. Probably a dumb one but since I practice IF, would an EC stack affect my fast? I would think no, but with it being an appetite suppressant, it got me wondering.
That’s what I assumed. It would seem like a bit too much caffeine on top of the Ephedrine.
Btw, no need for the aspirin, correct? I realize that’s the A in ECA, but it doesn’t really seem necessary.

Thanks for all of y’alls help so far, guys! Y’all have been awesome! One last thing. If I were to do an ECA stack, would it be I’ll advised to then also take a pre-workout prior to lifting? Especially if the pre-workout is high in caffeine? I would assume so, just want to clarify.
Do you split that up in two doses or one large dose? Take it pre-workout? Also, do you think it would be beneficial to pair ALCAR/L-Carnitine (what FatMan suggested) with an ECA stack or unnecessary?
Man, seems like some pretty serious stuff. What would you consider safe? After a little reading into it, you can get Ephedrine in Primatine tablets. I’ve also seen some recommend 25mg with 100mg caffeine twice a day even while lifting/cardio. Is that too much? And have you (or anyone else) had experience with it and what were your results?
Thanks for the thorough reply. I’ve read a little bit about the ephedrine and caffeine combo, but is it actually effective enough to be considered a realistic option? And if you don’t mind, how exactly does it aid in fat loss?
Fat Loss Aid

Obviously the key to fat loss is primarily a diet in which you consume less calories than you burn. A solid workout program can also be a huge factor.
But I was wondering what you guys think is the best supplement or trick to help aid in the Battle of the Bulge? Currently practice IF but wouldn’t mind a little extra help.
