Honestly, and this is pure fanboy speculation, I don't see how ANY coach (not named Meyer and Saban) wouldn't want to come to LSU. Money, recruiting, home-field advantage, SEC, chance to beat Saban every year. I just think it's a no-brainer.
I'm not really against anyone on the list but this is the order I put that list in:
Herman
Jimbo
Patterson
Petrino
If Petrino didn't have a Santa Clause sack of baggage, I would put him 2nd.

Stopped reading at "Larry".
Fire Miles now and get a head start on finding a replacement. Head start over teams like (potentially) Auburn, ND, Texas, USC, OU, etc.

I agree with you. Brandon is a very talented athlete, use him! Coach O is wanting to change things up, use him somehow. Throw a shotgun triple option at them. BH would be incredible at that.

This. Meyer has proven himself. Herman has not. I bet Herman is itching to play Saban as a HC. He's been able to dominate Saban's defense, now he wants to dominate him every year. Herman is confident. LSU is the best place for Herman.
Stoops is the 2nd to last coach I want.
Saban is the LAST coach I want. I don't want Bama's leftovers. I want a coach that can (potentially) beat Saban 5 years in a row!
I'm confident in saying LSU doesn't want either of them. Who are the only two coaches hotter than Herman right now... Meyer and Saban. They're baiting Herman and I like it.
