Duponts...same here in Charlotte. Lots of kabob type places but nothing close to BR.
Spankum...As twisted as this sounds, every city I go to, I look. Have never found anything close. Aside from the crawfish, etoufee, Abita beer on draft, etc...the Greek/Lebanese restaurants is what I miss most about BR.

Aha,forget it guys. Its not the same. I have family members that live in Tampa that graduated from LSU and they can't find it in Tampa, which is a big city. Just prepared very different. Which is why I asked if anybody knew the history of Albasha, Serops, etc.

Jobin...not the same as the way it is prepared in BR at the restaraunts I listed. In fact, it sucks. Have never found it prepared the way BR does it.

Im talking outside of Louisiana. Always found it interesting that BR was littered with Greek/Lebanese restaurants. Of all places, Baton Rouge, LA.
Lived off Albasha on Corporate Blvd while in college. Fantastic! Have been searching for years for something similar and can't find it anywhere.
Jobin, no its not dumb arse! You can't find it at Greek restarunts because its not a Greek dish Dick weed. Its Lebanese.
