skyscanner.com is GOAT.

You can search your destination as "everywhere"

Extremely convenient for a long Europe trip or looking for a quick trip somewhere random.

I booked a $460 round trip flight from JFK in NY to Milan. $460 round trip. Absurd.

I honestly prefer traveling alone.

Only thing I'm hesitant about is the social scene, bars, etc.

BROC has a monopoly on LSU athletics.

Football- mainly Brent Bankston
Basketball and baseball- depends on what body part is hurt. Chip Bankston, Winder, and Field.

source: I worked there for a few years.

I'm honestly having a hard time figuring out what you're talking about

I just graduated, start work when I get back in August.

At my recommendation my nephew took an 11" Chromebook with him to Europe. He said it worked out well.

That was the plan. Thanks
Staying in hostels. gonna be flying a good bit so need to pack as light as possible.

What type of luggage do you use?

best way to pack light?

TIA

I'm gonna edit a few times bc there's a lot to reply to...

My return flight is also out of Milan.

My thoughts as well. You have to see soccer in Europe even if it isn't your favorite sport. It is interwoven into the culture.

Not a huge soccer fan, but would like to see the netherlands or PSG play. I'd also be down to watch Messi and Barcelona but idk how expensive it would be.

Obviously start in Italy and work your way to Switzerland then France then Spain then England then I'd do a week in Ireland and then Iceland and then back to Germany into Austria and back to Milan for the flight home.

thanks soccerfüt. That was actually my exact plan, but austria instead of germany because I already did a long trip in Germany

thanks for the info. cinque terre a must-see? I was considering it. will be solo for that portion of the trip.
solo traveler checking in.

I'll be in Europe solo until August 10th.

Where you guys at?

:geauxtigers:
might find time to get down to cinque terre this summer
Fly direct to Milan on May 20th from JFK.
Come home Aug 10.

24 yo male, solo for 6 of 9 weeks

Events and dates:

Wimbledon- London, June 26-July 10
Running of the Bulls- Pamplona, July 6-July 14
Kevin Gates concert- Amsterdam, July 12

Feel free to add any events, concerts, or sporting events in Europe this summer.

I'd like to do 2 weeks in France, 2 in spain, a week in Iceland, and a week in Switzerland. Only thing set in stone so far is my flights.

ETA: I have already done all of Germany.

When are you going?

Amsterdam is awesome, but I'm college-aged.

If your wife needs a break from you, ill be in europe all summer :pimp:
I found a few in the $200 range. Some even at $100 and $150.

All I need it for is booking travel arrangements, basic internet browsing, and getting my GoPro footage from the camera to my external hard drive via USB.

Anything else it does is gravy.

This isn't a permanent solution. I don't want to bring a nice laptop to a 9 week Europe trip, and I also want to see what apple announces this summer.

TIA
I'll be abroad already. Lady friend has 3 day break. Want cool scenery, pretty blue water, and outdoors stuff to do.

I'm thinking Switzerland or Austria? Venice?

Anyone been to Interlaken?

I'd like to get a nice air bnb with a view. TIA
My 2009 MacBook Pro died yesterday.

I need a new one, but would rather the cheaper MacBook Air if it's pretty much the same.

What are the differences? I don't need a CD port.

I'll be using it for school work, Photoshop, design programs like auto CAD, and it photo/video editing. I have an external hard drive so storage isn't a huge issue.

I'm traveling this summer so the smaller lighter Air would be nice. The Air doesn't have Retina display like the 13" Pro. Does that make a big difference?

What's the difference between MacBook Pro/ MacBook Air/ plain MacBook?

TIA

Here's a 13 inch MacBook Air for $850
