If I recall, isn't there a delivery service in BR that will go and pick up take out food from various restaraunts and deliver to your home?

You should be able to find a decent house for a reasonable price in that area. It's not a area where prices are ridiculous like in Lakeview, Uptown or Old Metaire.

Our descion to use cabs had nothing to do with the buses being crowded. Cabs were quicker, more comfy, and after having to deal with the crowds all day it's nice to be alone with just the wife and kids.

We stayed at Port of Orleans FQ. Cost $10 each way to every park. $20 round trip was well worth it.
