LOL. Here's another weird one, that shows how your memory can play tricks on you when you hear a song.
There's an Al Stewart tune from the 24 Carrots CD called Paint By Numbers. For years - and I would have SWORN by this - I thought there was a line in it that went "What'll you do if the music sucks when I'm gone?"
One day I finally went and looked up the lyric sheet and sure enough this line is nowhere to be found. What I did find, though, is that the first time through in the song he sings:
"What'll you do if the muse gets lost when I'm gone?"
Then in the next verse it's "What'll you do if the brush gets stuck when I'm gone?"
Somehow - frick if I know how - my mind combined "muse gets lost" and "brush gets stuck" into "music sucks" :lol:

My personal fave has always been a line in the Doobies' "China Grove":

To this day, I refuse to Google the actual lyrics because I know there's no way they can approach that level of awesome ridiculousness.
