Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but I’ve found titanium doesn’t irritate my ears like everything else does. You can replace the hooks of dangly earrings with titanium ones from Amazon. Or look for post earrings made from that

Bonnet Carre feels like a damn tornado came through. I got a tornado warning and winds were out the west pushing my truck right then everyone slowed and next thing I know winds are coming from the east
Our car was also being pushed to the right, just before we pulled to the shoulder. I saw this posted from around that time. Does that mean there actually WAS a tornado?
I’m just glad everyone seemed to have made it over the bridge safely

Left the Brooks and Dunn concert about 11:00 and by the time we got on Bonne Carre, the wind roared and rain was sheeting like a car wash. Most everyone pulled over and the car was rocking some. Lots of tree debris on the road once we got going. Pretty terrifying.
We got stuck on the Bonnet Carre at the same time, same reason. I have never experienced anything like that before. Thought we were in the middle of a tornado; I was waiting for the car to get pushed into the road or something.

Halo Bolt…makes it extremely easy to jump off a car or put air in car or bike tires. Also can be used to charge things with a USB cable

Is Beetlejuice too scary? We used to LOVE that one as kids (except the sceance scene)
Maybe Practical Magic, but that is definitely more of a girl’s type movie

Someone pulled the owner’s info for that lot (said A L D I) and there were job announcements for a Houma location of Aldi making the rounds. I think it’s legit

Steinhaus Keller, not for your anniversary dinner, but just while y’all are out there

I suggest going into the park in the late afternoon/evening and hiking the Pa’rus Trail along the river (from shuttle stop 3) while the sun sets. It’s paved and an easy walk, but beautiful during sunset.

I don’t know if you like this, but I’d have to get a few “original ginger cakes” made by Legeune’s Bakery (most rouses carry them).

If on a M-F, walk over to the Menger Hotel (next to the Alamo) and do the lunch buffet. It’s pretty small but the food they do have is incredible!

One thing I want to do next time we’re there is a tasting “experience” at Lost Spirits distillery in Area15. Look into it, it seems fun. MeowWolf is there too.
Also recommend Absinthe for a show, or Paranormal: Mind Reading Magic Show (make sure to meet the guy after if you go; he will guess the number you’re thinking of!)

We unplugged all major appliances/electronics and cut breaker to air conditioner, dryer and stove (couldn’t easily get to that plug).
re: Need Electrician Help - House With 10% Power?!?

I think it’s the transformer as well. Our house had the same problem. We talked to several neighbors feeding off the same transformer, and they all had varying levels of power, but none had FULL power. They had to come and replace the transformer, fixed all our issues.
Keep calling entergy and telling them you don’t have full power (keep on them if they continuously switch you to “power on”). That’s what we had to do.

This educational dinosaur film starring Fred Savage.
Dinosaurs! A Fun-filled Trip Back in Time!
The whole thing is unsettling, however there’s this part where they show dinosaur animatronics eating other dinosaurs that scared the crap out of me. But I still sing Mesozoic Mind and laugh about the way the t-Rex is animated.

Check out the light show projected on the church in Main Plaza
Old Tunnel State Park isn’t too far of a drive. During the summer you can watch the bats emerge from the tunnel. You need to make reservations for it.

Alpine loop in Ouray. Brown Dog Pizza in Telluride (all we did was stop for lunch). Mesa Verde National Park in southwestern Colorado. Meow Wolf in Santa Fe.

How young are the kids? A dude ranch can be really fun. White Stallion Ranch in Tucson is amazing, but pricey.
