I'm still not convinced ole miss is that great of a team. It took 5 turnovers and a lucky touchdown for them to beat bama. I think 7/10 times Alabama wins that game. So, I think the toughest test will be Alabama. They have the ability to control the clock just like LSU does with the run game. If the defense can shut down Henry and force them to throw I believe we have a pretty significant advantage over bama. Stopping fournette, Guice, and Harris from running the ball is a task I'm not sure anyone can manage at this point

I mean no disrespect, but what exactly do you consider a gimmick offense?

One which is not widely run?

There are many benefits to running something "out of the ordinary" especially if you have talent in the proper skilled positions. Look at how many of those gimmick offenses make it to the Big Game.

There are a good number of teams that have played for the NC running something non-traditional. Take Florida for example, Urban Meyer/Tim Tebow. Or Auburn, Gus Malzahn/Cam Newton. People said those are a gimmick offense, yet it is run by many teams in college today. That base offense is 100 years old!!

Any offense can be stopped by GREAT defense. Non traditional offenses tend to level the playing field when talent is not equal.
Sorry, I just do not like the word gimmick.
