No. There is no other dog breed that has met my dog needs. I've been a hard core cat lover/owner all my life. Hated dogs, until I met my boy. I can understand people wanting to let the breed die out (thanks to a-hole people), but unfortunately that will not stop future dog fighting and attacks/killings. It will be just a different breed. I'm sure there's already been a few breed bands in the life of this planet. Ignorance dies hard :-/

CocomoLSU, I heart you. I love your words and wisdom. We have the same thought process. I've been thinking about finding a picture of that exact same vicious dog w/those 6 (or younger) year olds. So many deceived people believe that these dogs are born monsters. They are dogs. Animals. The only reason they have the bad rap that they do are b/c of the true monster...the human.

You are exactly right. And had this dog been any other breed (and it's very possible that it was) EVERYONE would agree. When are people going to realize that the real issue is the people who own these dogs?! Pit bulls do not enter this world waiting to tear the face off of someone. If they truly were as people portray them, they would be used by intelligent people (or terrorist) as a weapon instead of just piss poor a-holes for their own sick, twisted reasons.

Ok thanks. I was wondering about the skin glue or the butterfly band aids. I have talked to the vet but was curious about what people have done at home to see if anything worked/helped.

Sorry, meant to hit the up arrow. Talstar is amazing but DO NOT use it indoors. Spray the outside of your house and you'll have zero bugs.

It's not a breed problem, it's an owner problem. If the pits are banned and become instinct, the people who use the dogs for fighting/aggression will just move on to another breed. Those dogs are not born mean and aggressive, they are molded that way. Michael Vick's dogs that were rescued are living proof that the breed is not evil natured.

The "pit bull" breed has a higher percentage of dogs who passed their CGC test (canine good citizen) than the Beagles. Just be cautious of the owner of any type of dog. Be responsible :)

We don't need McDonalds either and have the highest percentage of obesity in this country. So should they ban McDonalds and other fast food restaurants? Aren't you sick of rights being taken away from us? With freedoms comes responsibility. These accidents are happening b/c of the humans involved. They are t being responsible. Punish everyone b/c of the small group who can't get it together is no Bueno.

I am sorry for your aunt's death and your loss but your analogy and reasoning is petty and poor. If your aunt were killed by a white male would u hate all white males? Would you smile every time a white male were in trouble or hurt? Please don't be predjudice in any shape or form. Give everything and everyone a chance.
