And NC State should be in the SEC , like to have the state in the conference.

Believe me -- there are a LOT of us who would LOVE to get out of UNC-Duke conference. Not because they're good in basketball, but because we don't think we'll ever get a fair chance in this league that bends over backwards to protects those two programs. There are a lot of us that were hoping we could jump to the SEC during that conference shuffling a while back.

You must not watch a lot of our games....we play LSU 10 times and its probably an even split.

I didn't say if we PLAYED 10 times that LSU would win that many. I worded that carefully to say this SCENARIO would result in a State loss 9 time out of 10. We were able to pull this off because they missed so many free throws. Not many teams will miss that many in a row.

I think WE played a bad game, period. If we played our best game, and they played their best game, it would be closer to 50-50. I was talking about the scenario in THIS game.
I really wasn't gloating. We should have LOST that game. If you guys had made just 1-2 more free throws, it likely would have been a different outcome.

I don't think LSU "quit", though. I think they just missed some free throws and probably got nervous because you have blown games before. Those things can get in your head sometimes. That one guy that missed so many free throws, I think the pressure just got to him. I feel for him, especially. I'm sure he knows his free throws should have won the game for you.

I don't think the Pack is as bad as we looked in the first half, though. We played a lot of "stand around and watch" defense. And LSU looked like world-beaters. I was wondering if this was Kentucky instead of LSU.

State DID wake up in the second half a lot more than we did the first. But we couldn't have pulled it off without help from LSU. We only won because of so many missed free throws.

We stole this one. But I'll take it.

Have a good one, guys!
Thanks, and thanks to everyone else for the gracious replies (except maybe the one that said GFY heh heh!). I'm not sure the fine folks over at PackPride (our Scout page) would have be as gracious as you guys.
Not that this will take the sting away from losing the game last night, but I just wanted to come here and give LSU props for the way they played. Your team was better than ours for 80-90% of the game.

I believe this game scenario, played out 10 times, would result in an LSU win nine out of 10. I am just happy our guys pulled it out in the end.

I told my wife right after it ended that I honestly felt worse for LSU nation than I have ever felt for an opponent that just lost to my Wolfpack. It's never fun to lose, especially the way you lost this one. We have zero animosity toward LSU, so I just felt bad for your team and fans.

I just wanted you to know that this is one State fan that is not gloating. I'm just happy to have won. Hopefully, we'll get our game back on track and play a little better on Saturday, for the ENTIRE game.

If you can find it in your hearts, wish us luck against Villanova?

Cheers!
First post here by this NC State fan (and graduate).

It's funny how similar our fan bases are talking about this game... "if we bring our "A" game, we should win."

It seems like we're all just hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. And I don't think either of us thinks the other is a pushover. I know I'm more scared of THIS game than the Nova match-up that surely will follow it on Saturday. I think some of you feel the same way.

Anyway, cheers! Hope both our teams play the best they can play and we both have an entertaining game, with one winning on a late basket.

So you guys don't feel too bad afterward. Heh heh! :)
