you gotta feel sorry for the kid. Anyone who has played organized basketball at a somewhat higher level, whether it be high school or college, knows that we have all had those mental breakdown moments in games where we couldn't throw it in the ocean it seems like. It sort of relates to the "yips" in baseball. What happened to Mickey last night was all mental and its unfortunate that it happened in such a big game but s**t happens. You can't rag the kid for having a mental breakdown because it happens to the best of us throughout a career. It sucks, yeah, but no reason to post hateful stuff about a kid. Cmon man...............
46 miles in a 22 footer this past summer for the first time.... sketchy as can be
Jones may be a good recruiter with these 5 stars coming in next year, but based on the past season with the most talent LSU has had in a long time, he obviously needs to be an assistant coach/recruiter instead of a head coach. If you have ever played organized basketball, you know that watching LSU for the past two games, in the most important games of the season, the offense has absolutely not organization whatsoever. There are no plays ran, there is no plan, there is no reason why Josh Gray should be in the game whatsoever, there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO effort on defensive rebounds which reflects directly on head coaching at its core, and too many more coaching issues for me to name. This team was as talented as any other team in the tournament this year, but we should honestly feel sorry for the kids and how they looked for the last 10 minutes of the game. The reason they looked so disorganized and clueless out there is because they do not have a coach to look to in order calm them down and get things at least somewhat organized when the game is slipping out of their hands. Going away from Jarrell Martin during the last 5 minutes of the game is one of the poorest coaching moves I have ever seen. Johnny Jones' coaching performance this season is a C- and would be a D without the talent of his players bailing him out over and over again making him look like he has at a least some kind of idea how to coach a basketball game
give up Gordon and Anderson and Gimme Monta Ellis, Pels are the 3rd or 4th seed next year
is it possible that we make a big time offseason pickup in the next few years? realistically what could ya'll see working out. We need another big time shooting guard in my opinion beside an improving Reke assisting and driving then its all she wrote. Pels win championship after championship
If we don't end up making the playoffs this year, then something happens to Jrue and he isn't able to play next year or just doesn't come back strong yielding us another mediocre season, do ya'll think AD will stay in New Orleans for the long haul and be satisfied with potentially being an 8th seed for years to come? Lets be honest with ourselves, we have the up and coming best player in the league, but its been proved in recent years that teams with just one Star can't lead his team to a NBA championship. If we could somehow get Westbrook to come over I think that is our best shot, but I just don't see that happening. What other options are out there for this offseason or even the next? because we all know if we don't put at least another star around AD there is a good chance he could be lured away by a team such as the Lakers or Mavs. Then the Pels are back to square one and none of us want that to happen
