re: My rant on Les Miles

Not saying that LM is the best we can do, but if we get rid of him, then we will start from scratch. Expect a few rough seasons before any turn around, and that is no guarantee. Ask Florida or USC how new coaching can go. LM may not be great but he's good for a championship run every 4 or so years. Not bad considering LSU's history. Gotta look at the big picture.

Cecil Collins 1997

He got a lot of down votes but I saw CC live. If he wasn't such a head case, he would have been a star. Still, LF is better than CC ever was. CC wasn't that good at making tacklers miss. The only comparison that makes sense is Adrian Peterson. LF is a HOF type talent and he's here another year y'all.

The thing I don't get about that play is why couldn't the replay officials overturn the play based on the blockers being down field? Why can't a clearly missed penalty be reviewable on a touchdown play? The blockers being way downfield is what turns this from a legitimate football play into bush-league playground garbage. That's one of the major keys DBs use to read pass vs run and if it was missed on a reviewable play then that should be part of the review.
LF is going to have big time stats regardless if Miles rests him during cupcakes. The stats are as important as who he does it against and how spectacular he looks in the media highlight films. Because that's going to be what generates the most excitement to the Heisman voters.

JMO, but I think LF is ahead of Chubb now even though his stats aren't as good

They also went on to say that LSU is the hardest team in the country to predict.

So then they both go on to predict we'll go 7-5? I don't follow that logic but hey somebody's paying them good money for all that expertise. Keep listening.
They punted away from both PP7 and HB. I remember being so frustrated that by the end of the season they didn't give either one much a chance, but that just shows how much other teams respected them. I can't remember what competition both returned TDs against. Makes a difference SEC vs FCS or small conference.
Nice how the article assumes we know exactly what each category means without any explanation like we all swing off Herbs nuts waiting for the Herbie nominations each year. WTF does "Looks the part" award mean?
I see where you're going with the Auburn pick but imo, Bama is still the biggest game on the schedule. AU is a close second. Look at it this way. If we win, then there's a decent chance both us and bama meet with 0 or 1 loss which makes it a huge national status game. If we lose then bama will be a near must win if we want in for the SECCG. Either way, it makes bama game biggest one on schedule right now.

Sorry if this doesn't jive with your opinion, bro. Just a discussion.

Because preseason games have a bunch of players who won't even make a roster. If it was such an easy thing to do, get out there on the field and make your millions.

Happy to see Harris looks big enough not to fall apart if he gets blindsided. Guice looks like a marvel superhero.
i agree on no slow pokes in the passing lane. not an issue with laziness like some responded. passing on the right is more dangerous than passing on the left. theres a reason people call it the passing lane. now if its a matter of getting over to left will make the guy slow down cus hes about to pass a car then just be patient. shouldnt be going that fast anyway.

Not really something to make light of
Not making light of rare genetic or hormonal diseases at all, but really how many babies need gene testing to figure out their sex? The facts of life are not that difficult for most kids. either you're a boy or a girl. on what planet do these guys live on that they think its good for a child to grow up confused about whether they are boys or girls? being a kid is tough enough on its own.
never gonna happen. pretending babies are gender neutral is living in a fantasy. any parent who has had both boys and girls knows this already. person that wrote that article either has not been exposed to a lot of kids or has head firmly planted in arse
Of all the issues with marriage and weddings, you're gonna focus on white dresses? Perspective, child. It's your friend.

This argument is so lazy: Mett made the big jump between 2012 and 2013 because he went from Studrawa to Cam as his OC. Jennings has been in Cam's system for two full years. He's not making that big jump. Yes, improvement is possible, but it will be marginal. We've seen the real Jennings.

So how is this argument not just as lazy? AJ has only had one meaningful year of SEC experience. How can you say with so much certainty he will not be much better? As bad as AJ was at times, BH also showed he wasn't ready either.

It doesn't matter to me who the starter is as long as we contend for SEC championship spot. I think we have the talent and experience this year to do it, but let's face it, SEC west is a bad mofo.

Wow. He's not trying to outrun DBs man. 40 time for an offensive lineman is about as useful as SAT scores for a welder.

These are the kind of commits that I find almost as exciting as the 5 stars. Honey badger and claiborne started under the radar. Would love to see him on the field in about 3 years.

Surprised not to see these

- Ken Burns Civil War on netflix streaming. Uses a lot of first hand written accounts.

- Good Hair narrated by Chris Rock. Funny but really eye-popping about the lengths black people go to style their hair.
1. live longer
2. handle pain (such as in childbirth)
3. better english scores in standardized tests
4. more conscientious workers in classroom, family, jobs
5. less violent (cause less death and suffering)
6. better communicators
7. able to more freely express emotion
8. more empathetic

You can't look at history as a gauge of gender equality because women have not been given the same opportunities by men. Also history is mainly written by men. Basically, the only clear advantage us men have is that we are on average stronger and bigger and more violent. So are gorillas.

This kind of season, hope for a SB berth is a pipe dream. I'm still pissed about a few years ago when Seattle got home field advantage with a 7-9 record and we had a better team. We travelled there and they won. I want the same kind of revenge. Bring Seattle to the dome!
