re: Pick 42---Would you be mad

I see some mocks with Ryan Anderson from bama in the third. I remember him in the backfield during national championship... any reason he's not higher?
STRAIGHT GAS! Always remember the race to the 8th seed... good luck Tyreke!
A 24 year old with history of averaging over 12 ppg for a playoff team taking the league minimum to come off the bench for the pels? There has to be another move coming... If he does for a low contract props to the front office for sure imo

re: Trade for saric

Posted by Catdaddy13 on 5/18/16 at 2:09 pm to
"Saric would be tied to his rookie-scale deal if plays in the NBA next season. Utah Jazz forward Trey Lyles, who was selected 12th overall in 2015, will make $10.4 million during his four-year rookie contract. Saric will make a little more than that if he comes over this summer. He would be able to negotiate a deal for a much richer salary with the Sixers if he waited until the summer of 2017. A league source said he believes Saric could receive about $6 million a season if he waits until next year. 1 week ago – via Philadelphia Inquirer" is from hoopshype

Have him locked in at that salary, losing Evans' contract, and receiving a player who I think could be an effective 3 are the things that make me think that this would be worth it... Definitely a big risk.. I just think that finding that small forward is not going to happen in the draft and tyreke's fit with gentry are the reasons why I would heavily consider this if i was dell

Trade for saric

Sixers could be looking for a veteran help. Simmons and Ingram seem to play a simalar style to saric. Does anyone think that pels would be giving up too much if they gave up tyreke and #6 to get saric and maybe another late draft pick in the first?

re: should have kept dawson

Seriously although this dude is being a little negative for my taste and I trust dell.... For $600,000 which is what we got for Dawson.... Idk if we could have found another 12 or 13th man that could learn to be that high energy versitile defender that Dawson could potentially be... Did the move help us out enough cap wise to justify itself?

People have given you all kinds of reasons. You don't want to listen to anyone though. That's cool. But you should have just started a "We should go after Izzo" thread.

There you go changed the title for ya... but you have not given me a reason and I cannot tell if you would not want tom izzo or if you just don't think there's a chance in hell he leaves Michigan st

Probably because he's mentioned after every offseason and has never left Michigan State. Why mention him again when there are other coaches to mention?

I think if calapari is and Donavan would have been on our wish list then izzo should be right there with them... He's never ruled it out, and has arguably a better resume than both of the previous coaches I've listed.

Izzo says, "never say never."

I don't think anyone has a clue on what the front office other than what is being reported. I guess just dreaming big as a big time izzo ball fan

He is 60 years old and has it made at Mich State, so not sure why he would leave, but I would listen.

I know age would be somewhat of an issue, but I just don't see how he hasn't gotten as much mention after every other offseason in the past him being mentioned and at least listening to offers.

We should go after Tom izzo

All of the coaching lists involve coaches such as Van Gundy, hoiberg, calapari, Thibodeau, and other assistants that everyone can make a case for. Why no love for Tom Izzo. Every year Izzo's name is brought up, and it seems that he is willing to listen. I think his teams are always playing a physical style of play on both ends with athletic players all over the court.

I think obviously he would have taken the cavs job last year if he knew that lebron was going to be there for sure. With AD and the athletic core that we have now that I think resembles some of his great tourney teams I don't see why he isn't getting love for the coaching search. We know our front office keeps their cards close and do not release much to the public. Anybody think that the so called contact with joe dumars was in some way to communicate with Izzo??

PS no troll job here, I have had izzo as my favorite coach for a long time and would love to see what he can do in the NBA with a selfless superstar like AD

re: My dark horse Coach

Van gundy was always #2 on my list for pels coaches... #1 is someone also that has been waiting for the right opportunity, and that is TOM IZZO... I don't see how people are not talking about him being a very high target.... I know he has turned down many different coaching jobs, but he has never gotten offered a job with a selfless superstar and young talent surrounding him

Tom Izzo bandwagon starts here!

Andrew luck

Posted by Catdaddy13 on 12/25/14 at 12:36 pm
Anybody thinking pagano will play Luck or starters for more than a half? I've rode the luck to hilton connection all year... I'm staying away from Hilton this week, but thinking that luck could at least have a better chance of putting up a couple touchdowns on the titans rather than trying to rely on Andy dalton or rg3 to come back from 30 down in the championship.

Moncrief if ty sits

Do I trust him just like I trust Harry Douglas if Julio sits... Yes I have both Julio and Ty for the ship
It's either Vareen, Charles Johnson, or moncrief at the flex if he sits.... Just don't know when they announce Ty's status for the 3pm kickoff

Hoping for teams resting starters.....
Gone all year without a backup behind luck... Rg3, Andy dalton, or Alex smith are looking like they will b the only options if luck sits week 17 hopefully I can get a pretty big cushion from week 16 points

Teams that will be resting starters

Posted by Catdaddy13 on 12/16/14 at 8:43 am
I'm in a league that we unfortunately play all 17 weeks... I've been watching the colts record as I have the dominate Luck and Hilton connection.. Pagano has been quoted saying that they will be playing to win... I'll see how much they are trying to win this week and start the players that have been performing.
Which coaches has a rep or do you think will be resting starters week 16 and 17 that have clinched?

Seantavious Jones

Any word if he can help the team? I remember hearing about him during preseason, but did not watch him while looking for Brandon Coleman to make the 53 instead.
