to me that means this will be Mickey Loomis' last yr as GM. I think we're going to have Khai Harley take over for him next season.

I thought he'd be cut to get out from under him quicker too. What makes it hard to assess tho is team has intel on his health more so than we get as fans. maybe they got clean medicals finally. guys like Peat, MT, Ram all have pro bowl upside so at current cap hit, it has upside for good value. downside tho is if they face more injuries, people will say like "how'd u not see that coming?" it's kinda damned if u do and damned if u don't so, I'm hoping it's more based on good intel like improved medicals. Either way, I don't think it changes draft strategy. We're still going to look for iOL with one of our 1st two picks I'd think.
It's free, non-monetized content that draft fans might like. I didn't spam links & I lose $ doing it. if it's not for you, that's cool. with that said, there are draft fans out there who might appreciate having Saints specific content without having to pay or listen to ads.

I remember Storm when he came out in the draft. Big bodied LT who I thought projected more as a RT in pro's. He had nastiness, a decent anchor & great hand strength. I haven't followed him closely in the pro's but I scouted him a little bit out of Toledo. He was the biggest OL in his class & was like a Zack Strief type. He's good depth for Ram at RT & probably an upgrade over Landon Young as RT2. This definitely points to a "changing of the guard" for Saints on OL too. Sean Payton valued technique & athleticism on OL & was willing to compromise on power (like Armstead/Ruiz types), but Dennis Allen seems to prefer his OL to be nasty, mauling type blockers (Penning/Kidd/Norton types). Actually not a bad signing.
What's up Who Dats!?! My name's Luc. I'm an independent scout, NOLA local & lifelong Saints fan. This year is my 15th year scouting, so to celebrate I started a new Saints Draft podcast on YouTube where I'll be creating a free Saints draft guide for fans of the draft. The name of the channel is "ScoutWithoutClout" or you can find it by searching "Saints Draft Board" on YouTube.

1st 2 episodes dropped yesterday on this year's QBs & RBs (RB episode is better). Between now and the draft, I'll be doing an episode on each position group. Each episode will be film breakdowns of the players who fit best, and by draft day we'll have completed a Saints draft board (similar to what you'd see behind closed doors in a team's scouting department).

Most boards (like NFL, PFF, TDN, PFN) are unreliable each year because they have the impossible task of trying to rank players for all 32 teams at once. In reality, there's 32 different boards for 32 different teams. As far as I know this will be one of the only scouting outlets that's Saints-specific (scheme, coach, & front office preferences).

This year's draft has potential to be huge because a great class can catapult us back into contention. So it's a really exciting offseason for us. The benefit of the channel (I hope) is instead of looking at 400+ prospects during your mock drafts, we can narrow the board down to the 150+ players that fit plus highlight the 50+ players the team likely covets most. We'll breakdown which players are possible starters & which players are more rotational. For diehard draft fans, I'm hopeful it'll be a unique, useful resource. At the very least, it should help for better mock drafts & fantasy football drafts.

There's no cost; no sponsors; no advertisements; and I pay for all of the overhead myself. I intend to fund it & keep it free for fans as long as I can afford it. I remember what it was like to be a kid that couldn't pay for professional draft guides & I remember being a broke college student that couldn't afford services like PFF. So my goal is to provide the highest quality Saints draft content possible, but remove the cost. This year I really wanted to contribute to our Who Dat community & this was the best way I could think of. So I know diving into the weeds of draft prospects isn't for everyone, but if it sounds like something you'd enjoy, then I'd be honored for you to check it out. I invest a lot of time scouting every year so I hope you find it useful. We have the best fans in the game & I'm looking forward to this season. Let's have an awesome draft & let's go eat these W's.
