This is nothing. 1998 was bad. Now if we played like we had in our previous couple of games I feel like crap, but we still play well and improved. Plus our youth coming up is great.
I think he meant regarding the penalty call on Jermaine.
This sucks, but overall it's the best we've played in months. We finally played like we're capable of.

You could see it coming.
Apparently Mexico has used part of their budget to guarantee they're in the Golf Cup final. I've had to go Operation Shutdown for the past day because of that game we lost yesterday, but these last two Mexico games have me so POd. I can take a lost, but crap like this gets me angry as a soccer fan. These B.S. calls are what soccer haters love to throw around and insult the game and when you see crap like this, you really can't respond, because you know they're totally bogus. There really needs to be an investigation because this Gold Cup has been turned into a mockery. I hope Loretta Lynch has some people looking into this, because there is no way these officials are legitimately that inept without being paid off.
Sorry for the rant, just had to get that off my chest.

re: Who is the 3rd greatest franchise in NBA history?

While I wouldn't say they're the 3rd greatest franchis, I do believe the Warriors should be in the discussion. While the Cohan years really left a black mark on their record, they do have 2517 wins - 4 champions including the inaugural one - 7 conference championships.
I can top that. I don;t even watch the channel but on ROH and TNA on the well known "feminist" network that is Destination America, they were promoting that show during every commercial break.
Don't drop the soap. Don't drop the soap.
Listening to Cobi Jones discuss it, I think he was right when he said simply that Jozy wasn't performing to to highest level right now and Jurgen went ina different direction. Maybe Jozy needs to take a break and get better physically and mentally and this is the right time.

On the other hand, 1991-1998 was beautiful. 8 straight victories.
I'm just happy to see him continuing to progress and develop into a replacement for Tim when him decides to retire. From Meola, Friedel, Keller and ow Tim, goaltending has been a consistent brightspot and has saved us more than most realize. I hope he can continue that tradition, because GK is the one spot for us that's the most worrisome to replace.
The image I have of the FIFA ethics committee is somewhere in the basement of FIFA hq with FIFA Ethics Committee on the door and a room covered in cobwebs with a single light and nothing with a desk covered in inches of dust.
So sad for her. I could joke and say that's the best goal England scored all tournament, but that's sad. I had to turn from the extended coverage of her as she walked off the field. Really feel bad for her.
re: Japan or England?

Wow. Just freakin WOW.
That's a legitimate question and a big part of it is true. Our winning during the first years of the WWC is because there were only a few countries (China, Sweden, Germany, Norway) besides the US that cared about women's soccer. Even countries with recent success like France and England, women's soccer is relatively new and only recently received any kind of support from their federation, and some like Brazil only receive jack squat in terms of support and that's an increase. Japan always had individual talent, but it wasn't until last WWC that they finally put it together as a team.
The US will always have an advantage because of youth soccer, club, and high school and college. Youth soccer for girls is still the exception in most of the world, not just Africa, Asia, but Latin America nd large parts of Europe.

It's both, plus she's been lucky in the teams she's faced not being that good offensively, questionable tactics, or at full strength. There's never been any doubt about her talent. It's always been about her off the field or with her mouth.
Another thing I love is having Dr. Joe in to explain the officiating and their screwups. Big step up in coverage and analysis for the women's game

I've been one of the biggest critics of Jill Ellis and I still think they're winning in spite of not because of her, but still an amazing win. I knew we were winning the game when Sasic missed that PK, You could almost see the life seep out of Germany and our girls were renewed.
I wasn't just because Fox through the old Fox Sports World was really the only place you could find soccer coverage, aside from ABC/ESPN coverage of the WC and the WWC or catching Tommy Smyth on ESPN 2. They been great, and I love the Fox Womens World Cup Tonight. This has been the first time their has been actual criticism (legitimately so) of the USWNT and coverage of non US or Mexican teams, because their was no way Julie Foudy will ever say anything negative about the USWNT. Hewck, I can even tolerate Wynalda on it.
