Hmmm.... #1, #1, #1, and... #1. Interesting.
Because you're 8. Of 8.

And according to Ben McDonald, SLU has some wicked pitching...

It's a boring first game. SLU might get run-ruled...
Tadelatt: I'm glad I was able to take up so much of your time.

I don't think anyone has said that.

Trust me, they're saying it. On this board, in fact.

But the fact is, at the end of the season LSU will have a better strength of schedule.

Totally agree. Just not necessarily a better SOS at this point in time. UL has earned their ranking thus far. And if LSU takes care of business in the SEC, then they'll deserve the boost that comes from that.
The argument is that you can't blast UL's strength of schedule when you have the 3rd worst SOS in your conference, even with the SEC boost. Granted not all SEC teams play everybody, but the other teams in the SEC manage to schedule quality OOC opponents.

SOS
6 - Florida
12 - Kentucky
13 - South Carolina
23 - Auburn
27 - Georgia
38 - Ole Miss
44 - Vandy
55 - Mississippi State
58 - Alabama
64 - Texas A&M
74 - Missouri
120 - LSU
157 - Tennessee
196 - Arkansas (WOW)

The general consensus with LSU fans is "How can you rank UL that high when they haven't played anybody?" When the fact of the matter is that the Cajuns have played the exact same number of ranked teams to this point in the season that LSU has. And honestly, are just a better ball club at this point.
Zero. But LSU only plays three. Looking at the Coaches' poll: Ole Miss, Tennessee and Mississippi St.) You somehow avoided South Carolina and Kentucky.

Looking back, LSU and UL have played the same amount of at-the-time ranked teams, two. (LSU: UL and Vandy, UL: LSU and Alabama).

Quit hiding behind the conference and play somebody OOC.
Umm, LSU's strength of schedule is 120. That's LOADS better than 130.

The Cajuns will be the biggest OOC RPI boost LSU has all season. The next best is South Alabama, while the other OOC teams on LSU's schedule are BAD.

Cajuns and Tigers have 10 common opponents, but that non-conference series against Alabama will look good come mid-May. LSU's best against Purdue won't...
