Staying near the 600 block on Saint Louis St. Is this walkable pregame? May schedule an uber bit mainly wondering about safety etc. (Plan to bar hop after til traffic does down some and then Uber)

Sounds like there is a lot of nightlife near our place for Friday night. Walkable

Planning to get to the tailgating areas by 8 at the latest.

Seats are section 412 around low 20's for row. Appears to me that we will likely be facing the sun most of the afternoon.
Getting excited for this game!

Almost seems to be a lock for a night game regardless of what happens this weekend.

Gonna be a scorcher!

You are invited to our tailgate in the Hayfield Lot. My son in law is an Iowa fan and I am trying to get him to come down for a game. Here is our website

We will probably take you up on that. We'll be making the rounds and we will stop by
We did end up with an Airbnb between downtown and the stadium.

Really looking forward to this trip. We will be rooting for you guys to have a great start so both you and Tennessee come in ranked and get a night game.

Ummmmmm
We are working on hotels right now. Obviously that's going to be a tough one. Any recommendations on what area to stay? Looks like downtown is about 3 mi from the stadium. Is that where we want to stay?

Haha. Yeah, sorry about that one! That was an amazing play though...
Haha. No pics but let's just say my wife loves (and greatly deserves!)getting beads on Bourbon Street....

Think Elizabeth Shue with better... "Assets"so to speak
First off, as an Iowa fan I believe Tennessee fans are the worst. So let's get that out of the way!

The times that Iowa and LSU have played, your fana have always seemed great and very good to interact with.

I have always wanted to see a LSU home game and I thought a game vs Tennessee might be awesome to see. Hoping LSU has a great start to the season so that game becomes huge and is a night game!

Wife and I and another couple are coming into NOLA on Wednesday and coming to Baton Rouge Friday morning...

We have tickets already.

We want to have the full LSU football experience, including experiencing the legendary LSU tailgate scene!

What do we need to see and do and how do we do it?

We are flying, the other couple is driving.

Obviously a long ways off and likely won't know game time till fall but just want to get a headstart on planning.

Thanks in advance!
According to many LSU fans they were going to win by 50 vs Iowa. A 7 point victory could be evidence of a decline?

*I don't believe it
IN!

Well, Iowa State is still allowed to claim being in B12....
Their players didn't act like thugs. At least from what I saw.

Kinda refreshing to not see the "look at me" trash

Other SEC teams/players? Not so much.

WtBS, glad to see Bama get.kicked

Your hurt players?

Your DT was holding his effibg left knee and then when trainers came out it was his right.

Both hurt players were back in right away.

Anyone with a brain watching the game saw the guy fake it.

Oh...wait....

Last time we played, we were down 10 players with season ending injuries......call it even now?

Is Beckham hurt?

Hearing rumors he is hurt

where did the Ego thread go?

I was just getting started on it.

Cliff notes version please? Why was he suspended etc?

t is not only the player's, the fans are as over-confident as any I have ever experienced. I came very close to punching out a 50 year old, short, fat, and arrogant Iowa moron in a Tampa sports bar. He kept telling me how over-rated the SEC is and how bad they were going to kick our butts, totally unsolicited. I had to go to the other side of the bar to keep myself out of jail.

What are you? 12?

First off, the quote was somewhat taken out of context and isn't as bad as some of you want it to be. This is over a week old and has been already discussed on here at length. Settle down sparky.

Secondly, "the fans are as over-confident as any you have ever experienced"?

Ok, sure. seeing that you live in SEC territory, that is utter BS.

Ok, carry on with your faux outrage. If this is what it takes for your fan base to get itself jacked up....whatever. :wah:

geauxbreauxs, I'm not sure why I'm responding to you because I've see numerous LSU fans put you in your place for being a jerk but what the heck.....

First off, I was responding to a lowly Iowa State fan so my facts were not "completely irrelevant"

My "life will be hell come Wednesday night"? Really? Is that what happens to you when LSU loses? How did you make it through the 3 losses this year with out slitting your wrists? what if....God forbid, Iowa is able to pull off the upset of the century and beat LSU? will you commit suicide? Beat your wife? Kick your dog?

What a sad existence you must live if a football game determines how you live your life.

If Iowa loses, I'll simply limp through my NY's hangover and move on to banging my supermodel wife in my mansion......As you may know, that's how all of us message board posters roll....

by the way, saying "y'all" 3 times in a type written sentence makes you sound even more like a red neck than you already do.
