re: What if LSU loses?

I don't think this would ever cross Burrow's mind nor the rest of the team as they believe they will win.
That being said, anything can happen in sports. Hope it is the destiny of this special LSU team to win it all! It has already been a magical season, with this team breaking all sorts of records. I will feel sad if they lose, but the legacy of this team stays forever.

Yup, multiple times.
The toughest one was when he mentioned "O" to show his heart felt gratitude.
Knowing that their D is not great, should the LSU offense play a controlled attack and keep the ball away from their offense? LSU should be able to score on literally almost all drives. If LSU scored too fast, could that run the risk of wearing down the LSU D in having to deal with the Oklahoma QB run oriented offense?

I would like to see Burrow following the footsteps of Brees :)

I was just thinking about that too.
Great route runner and catcher.
I like Jefferson as he bailed out LSU multiple times at critical moments. Burrow's go-to guy.
Special chemistry: Rohan-Reed and Burrow-Jefferson.

Yup, incompletion.
Stingley is the real deal.

Someone in another forum mentioned the need for a 3 day super hydration process to prepare the LSU players for the extreme dry heat during gametime. Just wondering if LSU medical staff did that. If not, the medical staff should have to be kicked in the butt as they should know better.

The Longhorns did not have that problem, and looked good. I believe there are multiple reasons, including the efficient LSU offense with quick strikes and scores that kept the TX defense in for shorter periods, and the grueling long TX drive in the top of the second half that somehow changed the complexion of the LSU defense.

I would not rule out some of the LSU "injuries" were faked, although I believe most are REAL.

I am just a customer who tried and liked the place.
Just wanted to share my experience.
It seems like that are always little people who are on an ego trip who likes to trash people so that they can feel good about themselves. Makes me wonder about their personal achievements in life....
No, this is not a place for candies! Not sure why the owners picked this name which is surely misleading.

What this restaurant offers includes Poke Bowls, Bento boxes, sushi, hibachi meals and hibachi noodles. Also offers authentic high grade Chinese soup noodles. In addition they do offer multiple types of flavored teas and bubble tea, as well as made to order ice cream rolls.
First: they make good Poke Bowls, with good assortment of vegetables including mangoes and avocados. You can have 1, 2 or 3 meat topping choices with pricing around $10 for 2 toppings and $11 for 3. Also good choices of sauces and sprinkle toppings. This has become my favorite place for Poke Bowl.
Today I tried the Hibachi sauteed noodles (choose egg noodle) with shrimp at the recommendation of my friend who had tried all the different types of Hitbachi noodles there. The shrimp noodle is great! Portion is generous and they gave up to 10 large shrimps. Cannot beat the quality and portion for the price of around $8.50 Will definitely get this dish again .
The authentic Chinese noodle is done with very flavorful clear soup done with some herbs, mushroom, small dried scallops and different meats such as ox tail, pork ribs, duck and black skinned chicken(free range). All these noodles are around $9 or less. Definitely soup done the right way and they do not use MSG. They also have a wonton soup with multiple unusual thin skinned tiny wontons; the clear soup base that is served with the wontons is also very tasty.
My wife tried some sushi once which was fine.
Today my wife ordered the passion fruit flavored tea with mango jelly and red bean, and I had matcha tea with red and mung bean. (Could have two items added to the tea, including the various bubble tea pearls which we did not order with our teas today). Quite pleased with them.
Also had their rolled ice cream once. Pretty good and inexpensive, considering the generous six ice cream rolls that come with each order.
I have visited this place 5 times so far, and have yet to be disappointed. Haven't tasted the various appetizers, bento boxes, fried rice...
I think this is a restaurant that is definitely worth a try: quality food at an inexpensive price. The restaurant is quite clean with tasteful contemporary decor.

If you couldn’t figure that out 20 years ago. I really don’t feel bad for your stupidity.

As I had mentioned before, it was a single seemingly harmless tree (that I hardly paid attention to) when I bought my lot and built on it. There were no uplifted concrete nor driveways anywhere near that tree. So, there was no way I could have foreseen the problems. I may be ignorant (of trees), but certainly not stupid!
quote:

No, you have no claim. Act of God and you also knew of the circumstances long ago. Get a new driveway and when you do it it may possibly kill the tree. Future problems resolved until dead branches start falling on you car.

No, I did not know it was a live oak tree when I had my driveway done, nor did I know it would cause a problem. It would be a catch 22 situation if I were to redo the driveway at the risk of stressing if not killing the tree. In that instance I would be liable for up to three times the cost of the tree.

As noted earlier in this thread, the same neighbor planted 2 cypress trees only in recent years close to the other part of my driveway, and is starting to raise havoc to my yard, flower bed and driveway. I do have the right to ask him to do something about it, unless he wants to pay for my damaged driveway down the road.
quote:

I wish my neighbors had a nice 75 year old oak tree in their yard. Adds beauty to everyone's homes. Too many dickheads like yourself just want to cut everything down, just so you have more grass to cut, and above all, have that flat driveway.

Actually dickheads like you are ones who call other people names when you do not agree with them.

I do like trees. However, I believe something has to be done if something like a tree or other objects start destroying your property to mitigate any further financial losses. Since you sound like a tree hugger, you might as well let trees and roots invade your house, if you have one.
Cutting the visible knees is easy, but doesn't solve the problem of knees coming up from under the driveway causing driveway destruction.
All I am hoping is that the neighbor can do something to stop any progression of property damage. I am not litigious, but I do not want to suffer any financial losses just because an inconsiderate neighbor decides to plant some cypress trees that are not meant to be close to any houses, which results in a lot of nuisance, and more importantly property damage to their neighbor. There has to be some accountability and responsibility. I am no lawyer; but I believe he would be liable for structural damages caused by the roots of his cypress trees. I would be OK if he would install a root barrier to stop the process, and the trees do not need to be taken down.

Cypress trees are attractive, and would be better if they are close to some lakes rather than in someone's backyard. I know of people who loved their cypress trees on their lot when they bought the house, just to hate them now because of all the structural damages incurred.
Even if your neighbor allows you to cut the roots encroaching on your property, you will be liable for up to three times the value of the tree if you damage or kill it because of your actions.
Now, there is another twist to the story.
The same neighbor decided to plant two cypress trees approximately 6 feet from my property line 4 years ago. Now, multiple cypress knees are popping up along my driveway, as well as in my planting bed at the end of the driveway up to 18 feet from the tree. Cypress knees are known to break driveways, and A/C concrete pads. Should he do something to mitigate or avoid damages to the neighbor's property? In this setting, I believe he planted the wrong kind of tree too close which can be problematic.

Not like they have a distinct look or drop acorns or anything.
It was smaller then, without much branches overhanging the driveway and dropping acorns. It looked nondescript then, very much unlike the fully grown oak tree with far reaching limbs. I have to admit I did not know that much about trees. In retrospect, had I known about it, should have avoided putting a driveway there.
You are right. That is the new law starting this year.

Moreover, I found out that if you do anything to the tree, like trimming roots despite getting the owner's consent, and ended up hurting the tree, it is your liability.

I didn't know the type of tree that was there when I built my house. Never realized that would be a problem down the road.

I appreciate the various reasonable perspectives posted. However, I find some posts with ugly comments were totally uncalled for.
My neighbor has a 75 year old live oak that is close to my driveway which is just within my property line. That tree is only 3-4 feet from my driveway where the concrete slabs are starting to show cracks and uplifting. I built on my lot with the driveway 20 years ago. Is my neighbor liable for the property damage?

Don't let it bother you, this board is usually more preoccupied with "the best burger in BR" or what new chains are opening, than actual food, signs of young and dumb. My favorite beer is best, yours is dishwater and "and it isn't close" is popular too. There are better food boards around that aren't insult filled, I only check this one occasionally from insomnia.

Thanks for your truthful post.
Somehow I can tell from some posts that the nega-sayers (often full of sarcasm) like to put down people, just to boost their mega-egos, instead of engaging in any civil discussions or posting something constructive.

If you aren't the owner (doubtful) then you work at this restaurant or are related to the owner in some way. No one is that enthusiastic about a restaurant they have no stake in.

Well, first of all, I am a food addict and appreciates good food. Don't we all get excited when we eat something that hits the right spot? So, when I tried this place, it was refreshing to know that this new place is serving fresh and quality Mediterranean food that is somewhat different from the myriad of Lebanese places in town. I find most Lebanese restaurants serve similar tasting food, including their pita bread, with Albasha being my favorite. Knowing the history of mediocre flow of clients thru the previous establishment at this location, i.e. Marina's, I know they would need enough exposure for people to know them, so that they can judge for themselves whether this place deserves their business. The place has a friendly atmosphere, and I find the owner quite nice. That is why I am enthusiastic about this place, wishing that they can succeed when a lot of similar establishments in their immediate surrounding fail (see my earlier post).

If you still doubt the authenticity of this post, all you need to do, if you care to, is to go the Facebook page of this restaurant, and comb thru the many consistent reviews that they received from many other different clients. They can't possibly all be working for this restaurant or related to the owner, not to mention having any financial stake in this place.

Oh, I am sure the "owner" has already seen this review.

I don't think the owner knows about the Food/Drink forum in Tigerdroppings. So, I doubt he had seen this thread.
