Big 12 Commish Bob Bowlsby Considers Texas, OU’s Departure For SEC A ‘Personal Betrayal’
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports
In a recent interview, Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby called it a “personal betrayal” that Oklahoma and Texas are leaving for the SEC Conference...
quote:

“Being, to use your term ‘pissed off’ about it, I can’t allow myself that,” Bowlsby said, via HookEm.com. “I have to get over the sense of personal betrayal and do what’s necessary for our eight continuing members. And that’s what we did.”

“We’re going to have to find ways to get along,” he said. “We have to work together, and we will. But I would say trust is at a relative low.”

Of course he does. He got wrapped up in the game and didn't realize he wasn't part of the club, after all.

He sees the $$$ running away with them that's all.

Bowlsby was their pet puppet. He is a useful idiot for t.u.

It is. They are the only 2 teams anyone cares about in that conference.

The state of Texas is not smart enough to run a conference. LMFAO!!!

Texas University used Bowlsby as their huckleberry. When the school in Austin came to the realization that by running off Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and Texas A&M they realized that they had painted themselves into a corner. The next step was to grab Oklahoma and head to the SEC for survival. They couldn't care less that they screwed two conferences, SWC & the Big 12, and their own lackey (Bob Bowlsby). They are getting what's coming to them, they just don't realize it yet. Poor Texas.

I'm sure OU/Texas are broken up about his feelings.

I'm sure he feels real sorry about his role in taking schools from another conference, too
