The NCAA tournament should merge with the NIT and go to 96 teams, with two auto bids per conference.

The losers of rounds 1 and 2 should play out the NIT as a 32 team bracket. The winners should continue on like normal.

The good news with a 76 or even 96 team field, is LSU would still miss the invite and get to play in the LSU invitational post season scrimmage- 1 verses the 2's.
