Ok..find me a flight from Steamboat to MSY on Friday..or even from Denver, Vail or Aspen.

I'll hang up and listen

You want me to do your own homework for you? Sure - my fee is $175/hr. This guy is doing legit work for you, for free at his own expense of time. Unless your fingers are broken and you have no internet service, I think your google works just as good as mine. I was simply commenting how nice he was for helping out fellow travelers, and how unable some folks tend to become when they are faced with unexpected travel issues.

Cuse - you should start a consulting service.

Sure I'll pay you $175 to find me a one stop flight from Steamboat to MSY on Friday...send me your Venmo, I'll even prepay since you're so confident.

you think this is my first rodeo finding flights? I was booking and re-booking flights while you were still in diapers

eta: my flight tomorrow was just cancelled 4 hours ago while I was at the top of the mountain..so it's not like I've had a much time to search for flights....

Just as I was about to offer you and your fam to come stay at my casa...

Serious though what is the harm in staying an extra night and waiting for flights to open up? It is the weekend... where you gotta be?

It's not about staying an extra night...I'm more than happy to stay till Friday, I have a place to stay.....the problem is there are no flights that are under 20 hour double connections until Monday

... book them all separately. There are 9 seats open on the SW flight tomorrow out of Denver. 3 @ the wanna get away and 3 @ Anytime pricing.

Book the 3 together then book one by itself at the higher price.

also... the flights on Friday. I see now they only have 3 seats open on each of the two flights - however BOTH flights arrive at MSY at 2:55pm.

You could split your group up. These seem to be getting booked ASAP... you got a quick decision to make.

Well unless that was you who booked... there are now no more flights open tomorrow, and only 3 on Friday.

I tried.

These SW tickets seem to be changing quickly so you could keep checking... or buckle up for a weekend in Steamboat.

I would book whatever you can, that gets at least them home, and a single ticket should come available on an airline. I see a Delta flight on Thursday now, 5 hr flight time. I think you just need to make quick decision and commit, and then assume a single ticket will open up. Best of luck...

Made it BR to DFW. It's a ghost town here compared to "normal"

Tigerbaitn, sounds like you found something? If not post in here and I'll try to see what's out there.

Glad others here have seen how quickly availability changes during these weather events. It's nuts- one minute could be sold out, next a family of 6 cancels opening up a wide range of connection options.

But good advice from prettybird where at some point you just have to make that decision when you see something reasonable. For me, that usually means getting there that same day of travel (example being getting in at 2am instead of your original noon).

Fatboydave- looks a bit icy on those wings and yours was the only flight to make it btr-dfw today. Go buy a lotto ticket while your luck is hot
