We're staying 3 nights at Llao Llao which is supposed to be amazing and we get a free round of golf. My wife's friend is from Argentina and couldn't say enough good things so hopefully our experience is better than yours

Yeah, I was obviously there after a drought, and and all the dust just made it a bad time. Too many people love Bariloche for my experience to be typical.

I really enjoyed the hiking here. You could easily fly up from USH to here and then on to EZE to complete your round trip. I did it round trip from EZE. Aerolineas Argentinas is fairly bad but the only game in town.

You are going to really like your Antarctica trip; it's my favorite trip I've done. Prices have really exploded, I'm glad to have booked it pre-covid.

That has been one of the most frustrating parts of booking this whole trip are the flights. So damn expensive, terrible baggage policies, and bad routing/times. Jetsmart and FlyBondi have absolutely awful reviews so I'm sticking with Aerolineas and paying $300-$400 for under 2hr flights. We're flying direct from USH-FTE and then FTE-BRC and finally BRC-EZE.

Can't wait, but holy cow is this trip expensive. Buy a new car expensive! I'm going to get past it and we're really excited to be going.

I've flown them maybe 6 times in the last few years and the only problem was changing a flight. Their customer service by phone is hopeless which was my main problem with them. Finally I just cancelled the flight I needed to change and booked another. Aerolineas did refund the first flight cost, much to my surprise (I expected to have to contest the charge). My actual flights were all on time and reasonably decent. Not the best but no where near the worst.

Can’t you just go to Iah then eze and avoid having 2 connections?

From HNL? Not in J that I can find for a reasonable award ticket since it's only UA that goes direct.

Did a Falklands, South Georgia, and Antarctica cruise a couple years back. Had a blast. South Georgia is one of the most naturally beautiful places I've been and has an astonishing amount of wildlife. Antarctica is notably different but also awesome. Enjoyed the Falklands, but we were only there for a day.

What operator and vessel are you traveling on? Preview of some sites below:

Seems like a solid operation. The ship also looks like a good size at 158 passengers. We were on a ~100 person vessel with Poseidon. That was great because we didn't have to worry about rotating people on excursions, but there is a trade off to a smaller vessel and less options onboard. By the end of the cruise, we were ready for a change of scenery.

Enjoy it. You'll have a blast.
