Bump. Hawaii accepts the Rapid ID test from Walgreen's. Results are usually emailed within a few hours from what I've read.
Walgreen's
I've been hesitant to book a trip because of anxiety over getting results in time. I think I'm going in now.

The Rapid Diagnostic Test (ID NOW) and Diagnostic Lab Test (PCR) provided by Walgreens are nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT). Both types are approved by the state of Hawaii, however the turnaround results time may vary

We got tested today (Sunday) at Walgreens on Airline in BR. Two adults and 2 kids, got the results back 4 hours later. You do the test yourself in your car. Half inch up and four circular motions in each nostril. Put swab back in the envelope and send it back through the window. Insurance paid for it, no problem, piece of cake, pretty sure it’s just a money grab/CYA. Aloha!

Try a place called "The Urgent Care" in Laplace on Belle Terre. Try to make an appt for as early in the day as you can.
They do PCR tests on site that can come back that day if you go in the morning, especially if you tell them it's for travel.
They also do Non-PCR rapid tests that come back in 15 minutes. Just can't get this if your travel requires a PCR.
They post your results in a patient portal that you can pull up on your phone or computer so you don't have to wait around if you don't want to.
They have locations in Gretna and Midcity but then your swab would need to be picked up by a runner and brought to Laplace since that's their lab location. Their runner picks up at 8am and 2pm.

Edit: Fat Harry referred to the Midcity location on the previous page.

I’m late to this thread but the state of Alaska does not require the negative test any longer. It is now “highly recommended” as a best practice.
