That makes sense.
I'd take a trip there anytime to see the Northern Lights, at least once.
I was just wondering if there was a bunch of other shite that was only available in Jan/Feb.
Probably just the frequency illusion, but I swear I've heard about Iceland trips this month a dozen times from people I know and here at TD.
Thanks for the replies.
And I agree about the visiting a place twice. I've always loved the summer mountain experience, but the winter mountain experience and beauty is really growing on me.

Ice cave, Northern Lights, and freaking cold are the exclusives to winter....

If you are renting a car make sure you get insurance.
We did not as we figured our normal insurance would cover it. It did not and a small rock hit our windshield and barely put a speck on the windshield. Also, said there was a dent in the door that one would have to really look hard to see. That was $2,500 to fix
I read about it after and supposedly it’s a scam with some of the rental places. Don’t charge much but then make it up with excessive repair costs
Anyways just get the insurance to be safe

I've started watching flights from BTR to KEF in Iceland for a late August early September trip. Seeing $975 on American Airlines. That seems like a logical price point, but I've never checked it before. Should I wait or is that about what it will cost?

Try to keep an eye out for deals. We got RT flights from Boston to Iceland on Iceland Air for $160 each.

Been looking for Mid august and from Memphis it's around 700 round trip or so for me. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I'm watching closely

Roundtrip from Memphis + hostel stay ( friend of mine stayed at this particular one last year and recommended it to me) for my birthday in August for 4 days at $783... hard to pass up...
