I like Oak Square condos if I have the kids. It's right next to Ober's tram. I can walk the entire city without parking and it's well priced with a heated indoor pool. LINK
If it's. A lot of us or just me and the wife we like getting cabins in Townsend.
I don't like Pigeon Forge as you have to drive everywhere.

Rent a cabin. There are numerous rental companies with every size home you can imagine. Gatlinburg.com

Vrbo does have a good selection but you pay a premium for that. Book with a local agency and save
