Not on the shuttle route, sadly.

True, but it’s worth a trip, even if you have to plan another trip to come back and check it out.

I appreciate the recs from this thread.
The day we got there, we were surprised to learn most of the bars/restaurants we tried to go to close at 8pm on Thursdays. But we found a spot to eat -- Rathskeller. Great casual German/Texas food.
Shuttle doesn't run on Fridays, but I lucked out with a cool Lyft driver who got my number and agreed to take care of us all day with technically less seats than his truck had for $150. Did Baron's Creek, Grape Creek, and Fiesta. We could have changed them up since we were no longer on the shuttle, but we got a bit drunk.
Grape Creek was the favorite. I joined the club and we had a really great lunch in their nicest booth in the restaurant. Very nice views.
I went out by myself and found a heavy metal bar, which was exactly my style. Made friends with the patrons and dogs.. listened to lots of old metal.. and headed out. My friends all took advantage of a nice nap after the wineries so this was a nighttime trip out solo, but no biggie!
Did a stop at The Stable, a nice cocktail bar. Highly recommend. Next day, we all went to town. Shopping and hopping around. Fredericksburg Brewery was a nice stop, but the Becker tasting room was the winner for sure.
Grape Creek also has a tasting room on Main, which members get 2 free glasses a day so I had to hit that up. I do like their Invention wine a good bit.
Otto's for dinner. Very good food, though we felt rushed through the place. You can tell it is the only nicer place in town, but the food was very good.
Pioneer until the wee hours for live music. Got a table for the 5 of us right up front and interacted with the band and had a great time.
Our Airbnb was the Howler Haus, and I highly recommend for a group. Fire pits, fireplace, nice kitchen, etc.
We took 2 cars. Only 1 of the friends rode in my car. We stopped in Austin for BBQ on the way home and it was just so great and such a nice day that we said screw it and drove to a downtown hotel and rented a room for the night. Did a little sunshine-y Sunday Funday hopping around Rainey and downtown Austin. Very fun. No Covid anywhere, by the way.
