We normally ski Telluride but flights were ridiculous. Skied Taos a few times growing up but haven’t been in a while. Booked for early Jan. & staying at a nice airbnb in Taos and not in the ski valley.

Any recommendations? Restaurants etc. ; kid is going to ski school again and apparently they have a great program.

Taos food is pretty mediocre compared to Santa Fe so there is nothing I would say is awesome. With that said, Medley is pretty good, Taos Pizza Outback is good pizza, Burger Stand @ Tao Ale House is a nice, chill place w/ good burgers and a great local beer selection on tap. Whats really disappointing is its tough to find good enchiladas w/ new mexican red or green sauce but Alley Cantina is pretty good.

kids ski school is fantastic.

eating in town:
La Cueva Cafe (mexican)
Stella's Itallian.
Lamberts
I haven't been to Martyrs, but my wife and in-laws liked it
pizza outback
guadalajara grill

on the mountain:
The Bavarian
Der Garten
breakfast burritos from Bumps

There is a good toy store with a play area on right off the square if you need somewhere in town to take the kids at some point.
