Stopping points between BR and Orlando

Going to Orlando this summer and I’m driving from Baton Rouge. Any suggestions on good places to stop on the way. Looking to cut down driving time but it doesn’t have to be halfway point.

I usually drive to Lake City and then have a very leisurely drive in the next morning. There are several good and cheap hotels right off the interstate.

that's what I do( LAKE CITY), or go little out of the way to CEDER KEY for a heart of palm salad....

Tallahassee: BR 7 hr, Orl 4 hr
Marianna, FL: BR 8 hr, Orl 3 hr
Lake City, FL: BR 9 hr, Orl 2 hr
Gainesville: BR 10 hr, Orl 1 hr
Remember you also lose an hour going east.
