I flew to St Louis and bought my son a car…got on the road later than I wanted, damn dealerships…but I easily made it back to the MS coast that day. Was an easy drive.
Wish I could tell where I took this…first time I had a chance to pull over and get a photo:

If you cant make it to STL- Cape/Jackson, Sikeston or Perryville, Perryville if it was me.. Really nothing else. But Id try to get to STL.

Agree with Sikeston, Cape Girardeau, or you could even do Jonesboro Arkansas.

The outskirts of Sikeston where I-55 and I-57 meet will have everything you need.
