Looking for ideally a cool small town Christmas experience in early December within a 4 or 5 hour drive of Houston. Don't mind even wading into the Louisiana, just want something small town quaint and most importantly a true Christian theme. Thanks

I'd read about that and it sounds promising. We are going on a random Thursday night, still pretty cool?

I was going to suggest Leavenworth, but you mentioned driving distance from Houston.

Where is Leavenworth, doesn't look like Kansas?

Looks very cool but if I'm going to the Pacific NW I'm going to play Bandon!

Natchitoches lights are still fun especially on a cold night.

See if you can come back and post a trip report here even if it’s short and sweet. Also posting some photographs of what that town looks like Christmas time nowadays would be awesome for us to see.

Boerne Texas. Get a room at the Kendall. Family oriented but super nice and lots of history. Lots of lights in town and mom and pop shopping. Fun place for a couple days.

I a great time there at Thanksgiving time, a few years ago. The Christmas lights were already up and it snowed for us, so it felt like Christmas. We went to the Reindeer Farm and it was pretty cool.

Not many restaurants were open on T-Giving, so we ended up eating at a German restaurant and it was fantastic. Great vibes and the views were fantastic.

Yeah, you're right. But having been to both lots of times, I'd pick Natchitoches for Christmas and Fredericksburg for a fall trip.
