I guess it’s the liberal in me

But for real, I typically respond to people that make statements I don’t necessarily agree with. I guess I don’t post enough otherwise.

With that being said, I like both SF and SD but prefer SF due to proximity to natural areas.

I found too many homeless and beggars in San Fran. Not to mention I have no interest in sanctuary cities.

I would say SD with a young kid. SF is a great city but may be a little too busy lugging a young kid around. Don’t listen to the other posters about the homeless and gays/lesbians. I just got back from there and from my experience, those two groups leave you alone and wasn’t as bad as others are saying. The whole state has a homeless/druggie problem. The inclines on the streets will give you a serious workout if you are walking and the cable cars stay packed, which would make bringing the kid around an issue. The buses can get pretty busy too.
