San Antonio Riverwalk Hotel RecommendationsPosted by wryder1

I have some Marriott and Hilton points saved up from work and am looking to go to San Antonio for New Years with the wife. We would like to stay on the river, around the bars and restaurants. Where would y’all recommend staying?
Also, what restaurants, bars and activities do y’all recommend? Thanks

I burned some HH points at the Homewood Suites on the river.

Stay at the Menger across the street from the Riverwalk.
Eat at Boudro's.

I really liked the Omni La Mansión when we stayed there.
Our stay at Omni was amazing. Best place to hang out by the pool and relax.
Iron Cactus restaurant was just across the river, and was such a solid meal that we ate dinner there twice.
Soho Wine & Martini bar was a neat spot to grab drinks. It's an old bank converted into a bar. They store the liquor in the old safe.

Stayed at Holiday Inn RW.
